Pradeep- In our country too, it is part of culture in tribal and hilly places. There are many varieties of local wines. People in India used to take alcohol even before Britishers came to India. We have Chhang in Ladakh, Mahua and tari in Bihar and jharkhand. The North East states also have tradition of wine. In fact, there is no community in world that does not consume liqueur.

Only we need to exercise moderation. Excessive drinking is definitely bad and leads to ill health and inefficiency.

The educated women consider themselves at par with men and so they feel privileged to drink like men. As regards late marriage, they spend many years in education and career and thus they marry at late age. This happens also to men who are highly educated.

I think to stop drinking women is more difficult than man. Educated women free himself to enjoy more . to get enjoy more they start drinking.
