It's not we but the hype the movie makers create by purchasing all slots in TV advertising including news channels, talk shows, serials, reality shows and purchased crowd that creates a scene as if that particular movie is the ultimate of entertainment and will prove to be the biggest hit of the cinema world. But you always end up with same run of the mill kind of stuff one again.

Every week movies  released here and we forgot these, so why we should to these much serious.

I agree with you. No movie is worth remembering for a couple of days. This is all about going crazy beyond limits and desperate attempts to hog the limelight resorting to cheap and vulgar ways.

The tragedy in our country is that the film stars are treated as Almighty. People are crazy to know what is happening in an actor's life, how the movie is being made and they love to cook new stories around the actors and actresses so that more and more gossip can take place, and a nice way to spend time. So, it is not unusual to go gaga over the actors

Movie mania or anything connected with movies not restricted to India alone. In India this mania is  taken in to a new dimension.

@rambabu You are absolutely right that movie mania is a universal phenomenon. What makes India stand a bit apart from the other movie maniacs is that movie speaks louder than our real world.

Definitely. Movie world is m " Make believe world. " that bodily carries you away into a fantasy world.

@rambabu

There lies the whole lot of problem. It is fine to be carried away to the fantasy world while watching the movie but the worst part is we relate it with our real world and start leaving in the dream world. Just for example: the way movies depict marriage, it seems there is only fun and frolic but taking up responsibility is not a part of married life while the reality is very different.  Those people who are smitten by such fantasy marriage are always keen to know what's happening in the lives of the newly married actors and actresses. This is sheer foolishness.

I can understand. But in real  life the situation is different. Recently, two college students, after seeing a movie of their favorite hero, tried to jump over foot bridge and were seriously injured.

It's not fair to blame  only Movies. Movie production is a business. Not realizing this, our foolish movie goers fall prey and suffer the consequences. More fault lies with the crazy movie viewers.

Blame it on the media who got people addicted to stories and gossips of the celebrities' lives in return for money. As long as there is a large fan following of the stars who ae ready to lap up each and every tidbit about films and stars, we are bound to see such hype. If we don't like it, just skip those pages and change the channels!

True. Media is a business which writes according to the diktats of the Movie makers for a price. And, there are Movie maniacs who are eager to take them.The solution as you suggested distancing away from such trash is the Best way.
