Parties spend 35000 Crore rupees for the election campaign.
Total expenses = 35000 Crore :woohoo:
To make profit parties will have to recover at least 3 times more than their expenses. That means
Within 5 years, they are going to make 3X35000 Crore = 105000 Crore
There is no way parties can earn that amount of money without being corrupt! Hence corruption is guaranteed!
This is my prediction, I hope I am wrong here! :silly:
Corruption has become a way of life in all spheres all over the world. This is a fact as obvious as Sun in the sky.
I hope with the formation of Modi sarkar, corruption too will at least take a back seat if it is not getting eliminated completely.
It's a difficult task for any government. Corruption is deep rooted in the society. But with sincere efforts it can be reduced to some extent.
With some strictness, you may reduce te corruption at lower levels. But the large scale scams and political corruption is inherent in the costly parliamentary system. The corporates, big business houses and politicians make heavy investment in elections and they do not do this for any public welfare.
If the new Government takes a stern action against the scams like coalgate and Telecom scandal people will have confidence over the new government that at least this government is doing something to reduce the corruption.
What if the corporate houses that funded the recent election campain are also invovled in various scams of previous government?
Corruption is a complicated network of corrupt people. All are inter-linked and inter-related.
With all said and done and despite sinister net works corruption has to be demolished come what may.
Cannot blame the government. Things have to be done from the base level and carried to the next consecutive level. Since the evil is deep rooted, its better to try to get it eradicated from the ground level itself.

By punishing the guilty corruption automatically comes down. And it's the duty of the government to create fear in the corrupt forces.

If the government is corrupt what would happen we have seen all.

It is impossible to do away with corruption altogether since it has to come fro grassroot levels...we have a corrupt populkation that encourages corription, cant blame only the politician.people find it easier to get things done through bribing . A simple case like building a house - most people want to build without following the bylaws and they bribe the officials. It is the corrupt population that needs to change their attitude ..
Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

It's impossible because both people and the government allowed it to grow to astronomical levels. A thing cannot grow on its own. If strict implementation of anti corruption is passed and a few responsible persons are axed. corruption can be minimised.

I agree with that since any constitutional changes and measures can come only from people who are in power...As of now corruption has become the way of life and expecting the present government to do away with it completely is unfair but I have a feeling that Modi will try to do his best in that direction !

It's heartening to observe that there was strong wind was flowing in the country signifying a great change in the near future. This is obvious from the overwhelming mood of the public. No we don't want sweeping changes instantly. People will be pleased if there is a beginning to eradicate the corruption. The other things will take care of themselves.

This is most apt analysis of corruption pattern. The big scams and political corruption is rooted in the costly parliamentary election systems. But the corruption at lower level for petty tasks is because of corrup practices of the public at large. everyone wants to get benefit- fair or unfair- by hook or crook. This is basis of corruption.

True. There is no meaning in singling out politicians. People are equally responsible. Both are from the same society.
