I do agree that teachers too are a part of our decadent system otherwise how do you explain a few teachers of the school who do not do their duties in the classes but tempt students to come to their coaching centers and the shocking part of it, is these teachers charge the entire fees of the year at one go so that students never succeed in escaping payments. Horrendous! A relationship which is supposed to be pure, is founded on distrust and the very teacher is leading in this moral bankruptcy!!
Agreed ! In fact if the governement and the educational authorities have any sebnse they should totally ban all the coaching classes which are legal and look almost like colleges ...It is partly because of the lifestyle - both the parents working with no time to monitor the children or help them in their studies, and poor pay structure for teachers which makes them greedy to earn more. However, a few steps can be taken to corrct tis but I know of MLAs who are hand in glove with the lecturers and help them start coaching classes since it is a lucrative business..
In Maharashtra there is infact a strong nexus between politicians and owners of these coaching classes so even if one tries to do away with the classes, nothing can come out of it!
It is pretty much the same here as well, the politicians have totally commercialised education system...Every new college or institute that is started will have some MLA or MP or a minister behind it....
Look it is true that these politicians are bent upon destroying the moral fabric of this nation but teachers in India always held a special not only in the distant past but even a few decades back why self-interests alone should be guiding their moral conduct now, I fail to see!!

It is not possible to ban coaching institutions. In private school and collages teachers are getting salary less than skilled labour. Parents are not interested in sending this kids in government schools and collages. Students from financial weaker section takes admission in government schools and collage. It is rare that any student come in merit from government school and collages.

I can only say that thoset times were different.People had dignity and sincerity and even the politicu=ians were not as corrupt as todays lot. With a change in the societys attitude , even teachers have changed to suit and be better equipped to face the now generation of students and parents...some are still very dedicated but I am afraid the number is very small..
Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

I don't intend to tar every teacher with the same brush and there is a minuscule section of them who have been struggling to keep the banner high and flying. Exceptions do not make the rule and I was just discussing the rule!! If a majority of teachers cannot bend their spines straight citing the tyranny of the political class then God help and save them!!!
