She got a child after 15 years of marriage.
In 2002 a film about Guruvayoorappan was released. Its name was Nandanam. All devotional songs in female voice were sung by her.
While she was recording one of its songs, she really cried in the studio calling Krishna. Hearing this, many people told, she will get a child.
It's a big surprise, she got pregnant very soon and gave birth to a girl. She gave her name, 'Nandana'. Many thought, it's given remembering the film Nandanam. But she has told several times, it's derived from his husband's name, Nanda Kumar.
In those 8 years, I don't think, even a single mother is this world exist who gives this much love to a child. After all, it was a gift after 15 years. In all her interviews, only one name in her every talks...Nandana.

Vishu 2011, she went for a stage show to a Gulf country. She took her family also. One day just before vishu, when whole Kerala were preparing their Vishu kani to Lord Krishna, this child fell in a swimming pool.

I also couldn't get out of that shock for 3-4 days. Every Malayali cried, me too.....because we all know how much she loved that child. I don't think even a single family in Kerala has celebrated vishu with happiness that year.
Kannan gave her a child and took her back on his most favourite day. It was a striking co-incidence.
