Why people talk while sleeping?

All talk in sleep. But this is in dream only. Some talk so aloud that even those in real world listen. My talk is confined to dream only and only those in my dream may listen.

But in some cases, the talk in dream is heard even by the awakened. I remember that one Railway ticket collector lived my next door at Allahabad. Then I was class V student. Every one could hear him when he dreamed. One night, he was talking loudly- "Where is ticket? If no ticket, give money."

My husband talks while he is sleeping.....that I can't sleep :woohoo: :laugh: :laugh:
This happens most when he is disturbed with his work tensions. I often hear him calling staff names and ask them to do something....like take that file, is that work completed?, you should come, call that person etc. He rarely talks about family members in sleep :)

Every one will talk in sleep. This is due to dreams no one can change.

myself is example of this some time when i see good dream then i started to talk but it happen rarely.

But why can't they remember it later? :dry:

When a man thinks too much or remains in tension then he dreams and talks but after awakening he forgets every thing.

I think, they can speak only if they don't get sound sleep. Isn't it?

i dont speak while im sleeping, but my room-met & my mom use to speak they says that day they are very tired.

I also don't speak while I am sleeping.


Sleep-talking by itself is harmless; however, it can wake up others and cause them consternation—especially when misinterpreted as conscious speech by an observer.

If someone has spend whole day in stress and tension, he/ she may start talking even in sleep.

Don't know the reason.. But we having one person at our family who used to speak plus walk in the sleep too.. ha ha

Yes it is true ,night guard is not required.

My father is doing fire works business. One worker was there named 'sunny'(not our sunny :P ).
He talks whole night that no one can sleep well. He says comments like....." Give fire to 'Amittu', tie that crackers, have you dig holes, take rope, why are you so late......." etc......the whole night..... :P (particularly before/after fireworks in any temple/church) :laugh: :laugh:

Yes this is a kind of illness and about 25 % of people have that habit.I hear a 2-3 cases about this illness.This is due to the lots of mental pressure.

What I feel is that the people who do not get chance to talk while awake, they talk while sleeping.
