Sunset, of course, the time when nature looks most beautiful. Yet, it is not permanent and it will undergo change. What things can you learn from a sunset? One of those, I will give you. You try to find some more, relating to human life and its existence. :)
Those 24 hours is similar to a man's life. Birth of a man, as the rise of a new cute dawn is an innocent child born on earth. Then he keeps growing till he reaches the most beautiful time of his life, ie. youth (Similar to a setting sun). From there, he can't grow. Then dark begins to cast shadows on him and he will be ready to leave (along with setting sun). So, live your life fully. Don't imagine that 'beautiful sunset' will exist too long. It has only a small interval and it is the shortest time of the day.
(The lamp that it to exhaust soon will burn more......like a sunset)....another idea
What else can a sun set give you? Do post your 'creative' ideas

I see many have come up with lovely poems :) The line which came first in my mind was "Be beautiful even when you are setting" ..take it the way you want to ;)
We have a similar proverb.....
Even if we are laying dead, be well make-uped . It's terrible to translate :S :S :S
Yet, I feel you understood the meaning

Do you want a role? Sambha will do?  Laga re nishana!
Sunset indicates that your activities of that particular day if finished. Go back home and take rest. Be happy with your family and go to bed for the next rising day.
This was okay in the past. Even travelers would stop when the Sun set and rest for the night and move only when Sun rose. Now the world moves round the clock. all work according to their own schedules and shifts. Many work in night and sleep in day.
But Sun Set really indicates that good times may be followed by bad and this phase will also never remain same. Day will again come.
Raat bhar ka mehman hai andhera Kiske roke ruka hai savera (Dark lasts only a night. Nobody can stop sun rise.)
