Records are made to be broken. Soon there could be a new record holder.

setting of records gives a chance for others to break the existing record and make a new one and make it more tough for others to break them.

At the same time, record holder makes sure that record is not broken by some one else and himself try hard to break his own records and set more tougher records.

every time you log in and perform, your previous record is broken as the performance is continuous and cumulative. Others will break record if you absent yourself or work less.
