absolutely...that is the point here....in this case i believe a joint military exercise would be a step in the right direction. It can help build faith in each other.
I would lay greater emphasis on closer economic ties as China understands the language of commerce and trade very well. It can't remain hostile and hope to have access to the vast Indian market as well!!
The fact is that China has developed such huge manufacturing capacities over a spectrum of goods that even all major companies of the world are sourcing their supplies from it.As Chinese labour market is cheap it enjoys cost advantages which has enabled it to spread its influence all over the world including India!
