80 percent of Indian population are Hindus. If Muslims and Christians want to live in this country, they should adjust to traditions of Hindus, if not completely.
USA is declared as Christian nation. It doesn't means Hindus or Muslims or Sikhs doesn't live in USA. It only means hot dogs and pizza are served in USA and Hindus or Sikhs living there should not protest it, even if they don't like eating it.
Similarly in Hindu tradition killing cow is teated as sin and as said earlier, 80 percent of India is made up of Hindus. So Muslims and Christians should stop eating Beef even if they have huge appetite for eating beef.
The question by Rohit is precisely- Should beef be served to foreigners in India just for their appetite. My view is- Do not serve if this is not an established practice. Let us see what happened in the past. There have been many events- sports, cultural and others. If beef has been served in the past on such occasions, we should not object only in commonwealth games. If beef was not served earlier, it should not be served even now. there should be no new practice.
