Why rama & sita went to forest for 14 years?

I got a different answer from my friend for the above question and thought of sharing with you all. When sita first saw rama, she immediately liked him and prayed to god that if she marries rama then she will do pooja for goddess for 14 years in forest. That's why they went to forest and because of kaikayi's wish.

what do u want to convey through this that Hindus don't have the freedom to tell about epics and deities . It means we must fear to talk about our epics .
and i want to know . What is Fatwas????? Is it any kind of punishment given to islamic people over talking about their religion ???????????????????

Rohit- Fatwa as a decision can be given only by an Islamic ruler viz. Khaoifa. Nobody can give Fatwah in India in that way. The Fatwa in India is only an opinion given by Muslim clergy on specific query. This is not binding on anyone though the followers may respect and obey it voluntarly. As Hindus, we may discuss about the events in epics but we do not insult any one. Rather we should not insult any religious thoughts of anyone. But free and fair discussion without causing disrespect to any is welcome.
