Do you know that there are labour laws meant to protect the interests ,working conditions and the rights of the employees? Any violation, will lead to a lock up of the company? If you don't know, contact your nearest labour officer.

Oh my..I know where this is coming from. when I started my career- it was a small to mid size company having around 200-250 people, and their the PF amount was deducted, but when I left the organization and duly filled in the PF form, I never got the money back. Some orgs do this and back then I could do nothing, since I left for a different place.

In office, exposure to ac almost about 8-10hrs in a week does deteriorate our health. But practically it is not possible to run big offices without ac...though in the company I used to work had the provision of fans for weekends...


Yes very few companies are giving fan and others did not giving that. Employees working with sweating and finishing their work for the sake of money.


I have the experience of working both in a small company and in an IT giant. I know h they operate, but if bosses in companies are asking members to come on a weekend to come and work, it is the duty of the Company to provide with the basic amenities. The employees coming on weekends should also inform their superiors about the cons of working during weekends ,so that their boss can provide a solution.

A very tight schedule or strict deadline sometimes make it mandatory for people to come and work on weekends. Also, sometimes because few people are not able to complete a particular work, they are asked to come to office on weekends and then everybody in the team is expected to come over.


My bosses can understand why the delay took place. Accordingly they not only allow me to work on holiday, they give me keys of the office, thereby allowing me to avail the amenities including a vehicle at my disposal. It's all about the indispensable factor you establish in the Managerial circles. Know that you cannot cheat the Manager as far as the magnitude of the work of the Agency which costs in lakhs.


I have citing an example..how offices function. Yes, even in my office..we were given access to all amenities but we had to pay for food..but we could use a cab for transportation.


That's as simple as that. The Boss gave you amenities. It means, you have to give him more than what he expected from you.


Personally, I have only come to work on weekends only once..but have heard from other people that they faced issues such as lack of water both drinking water and water in the loo..plus no ac.


Such people seek for amenities to come and fall in their lap. They should bring it to the notice of the departmental Head. Most of such people shudder to talk with their Managers even for basic amenities. Ask. You will get it.


I am not sure if people will get access to all amenities, but yes such people should talk and explain their problems to their bosses, bring it to their boss's notice.


If you don't ask, even your mother ales will not give food is an old saying.


Ha..haa.. I know..until a baby cries for milk, even her mother doesn't feed her.--this is indeed true.. as far as employee-boss relationship is concerned.


Many wise employees think that the boss comes with a glass of water and make them drink.



Sometimes even if the employees ask the company might not be in position to afford it and simply ignore they request..

Yes I agree environment in your workplace as well as home must not be crammed..Apart from health problems it is difficult to even concentrate on what you are doing.


If you convince the management, no employer can dare to deny your basic amenities. Labour department will not allow the employers to run the company without minimum amenities.


Most of the companies don't know what is happening on week days. They only thought that they are giving basic amenities but the people who report to the management are not doing this. People can't contact directly the management. That is the big issue.


Why? Any employee big or small can meet even the highest authorities. That's the employee's right. No one can stop an employee from meeting any level officer.


Sorry i won't agree with your point. Some companies are maintains different policies. Even in many companies people are not given PF for their work. Now only the problem is solving due to government involvement in that category.


Oh my..I know where this is coming from. when I started my career- it was a small to mid size company having around 200-250 people, and their the PF amount was deducted, but when I left the organization and duly filled in the PF form, I never got the money back. Some orgs do this and back then I could do nothing, since I left for a different place.


I understand. I don't blame the people but their ignorance. How many know that if an organization employs more than 7 employees, it has to deduct the PF and the same should be reflected in their Monthly Pay Slips? How many know that if the organization fails to return back the deducted PF when he leaves the organization and with such one Pay slip, the employees is empowered to lodge a complaint in The District Labor Office and see that the organization pays the deducted Pay through its nose ?
