Sania Mirza as Telangana brand ambassador- saffron leader objects

After Telangana they are now getting another chance to argue. Politicians always wants to make a simple issue into a big one and enjoy the results. This is a complete political issue. They can spend the time in improving the states welfare.

Is it not obvious because these politicos are incapable of doing anything, they indulge in such rubbish?. It's a ploy to divert the attention of the public.

If they are not incapable of doing anything then why should we are allowing them by putting our vote. This is the appropriate time to implement the scheme proposed by Anna hazare to withdraw the elected personnel for the post for which they were elected in case if any defect in any manner as found against such personnel.

The most amusing thing here is Chandrashekar r'aos flipflop regrading Telengana...He had earlier said that true Telangana citizens are those who have forefathers living in the region since 1956 and in Sania's case this is not so, since her father migrated in the eighties from Maharashtra...He has himself started the controversy giving material to BJP with his double forked tongue ! Now his party spokespersson points fingers at Amitabh and others just to justify their stand !

true..This is all becoming too childish and silly actually. Amitabh Bachchan is orginally from Allahabad, he made his career and settled in Maharashtra and is a brand ambassador for the Gujarat state. No one is objecting to that! And there is nothing, in my opinion, that should be objected. While appointing a celebrity as a brand ambassador for any state in India should not take in question the celebrity's state of origin. They should be viewed as Indians and Indians alone. Where the question of Sania Mirza is concerned, there may be people who object to it because she is a Muslim, but more than that, the most concerning doubt people have is that she is married to a Pakistani and does not live in India any more, even though she may have an Indian passport.

There are definitely quite a few more deserving sportsperson from Andhra who have no controversy attached to them - V V S Lakshman ( cricket), Chetan Anand 9 Badminton) , Pullela Gopichand ( Shuttle Badminton) to name a few ...

Cricket is really not included in Olympics. Chetan Anand and Gopi Chand are also reputed names. But it appears that Sania Mirza has greater achievement and is more in lime light. Now there is no controversy on her. The local leaders had raised controversy but Central leaders all are praising Sania as Pride of India.

Gopichand was the the winner of The coveted award All England badminton championship. There are only two Indians who won the championship. The other was Prakash Padukone, father of Deepika Padukone. When achievements in sports are concerned Sania is nowhere near Gopichand.

But do Gopicand and Prakash Padukone belong to Telangana or Andhra? Please clarify.

Only Gopichand belongs to AP, who migrated to Hyderabad to run his Badminton Academy. Prakash is from Karnataka.

It's not the question of Hindu or Muslim. It's the question of selecting the right candidate. Had KCR selected Gopichand, how he can get Muslim votes which is now unhappy with KCR? And how he can show his hatred towards Telugus who settled in Hyderabad?

I just need one clarification. If KCR hates Telugus who settled in Hyderabad, what is the language of those who are original Hyderabad residents. I believe they are also Telugu. This appears confusing.

Both the states speak Telugu. Telangana was a part of erstwhile Hyderabad state ruled by Nizam. During the formation of linguistic states a part of Hyderabad was added to AP, a prt has gone to Maharashtra. KCR hates Telugu people living in Hyderabad because TDP that was the party of Chandrababu, driven him away for his inactivity. Since then he formed his own party TRS, claiming that all Telugus looted Hyderabad.

As place of birth is the ultimate criteria it does not matter even if training is given by Gopichand ( where was he born).

Telengana was accused of many alleged malafide reasons for making Sania Mirza its Brand Ambassador. But there is silence in the forum for AP not fulfilling its promise of Award to Nehwal. A case of double standarads.

What's this forum for AP? But the AP government and the Major media are not silent. They are expressing their discontment in every possible way. Saina's prize money issue was raised in the undivided AP. the then Congress promised her return of prize money. In the meantime,governments changed. saina was forgotten.
