I do not understand the need for a set top box unless they wanted to remove the cable itself. What is the big fun supplying digital signals through wires. It could have been better if they removed the cable and provided signals through a relay center to the set top boxes.

Even well before the court stay, CM of AP had convinced the center to allow Analog transmissions. In addition to this several citizen bodies filed PIL against the installation of Set Top Box.
