Becoming boss is good. However becoming boss is not compulsory. Many bosses are dependent on their employees. They do what their subordinate suggests them.
If the employee is used to do his job only and he is not interested in anything else then he cannot be a boss.

I agree. One must be very keenly interested in his job and strive for excellence. Just being average and somehow do the job allotted will keep one secure in service but not enhance promotion prospects.

To be a boss we must have some qualities like we should be able to manage our time,should do something else apart from our job responsibility also.which may impress others.I am not a boss but I know my boss who takes interest in every thing and he has knowledge of everything which made him a boss there. :blink:

I feel that you should take full interest in office job and also be ready to help others and work extra if some one goes on leave. Just make your self indispensable. This is key to security and progress.

I do that I stay office for almost 10 hours and there is lot of work pressure so we have to work hard even though we may not wish to.And that is the key to success one has to work hard to show his/her worth in office. :)

Time management is very important quality of the boss. Not only their own timing they should keep track of other employees.
