I know of couple of Jains who relish non veg food. I also know a young Muslim lady Doctor who is the only vegetarian in her family. I know a Bengali who does not like fish. I have a relative who only takes non veg food and no vegetables.
So can we generalise these habits upon the whole community to which they belong and condemn them. Food is a private matter like religion and and that is how it should remain.
Food is a private matter but religion plays some role. A jain may eat meat outside home but not in his family especially a joint one. Actually religion is not a matter of choice. This is decided by accident of birth in a particular community. However cow is a holy animal for many. But the culture and food habits are not same in entire country. Hence there is no central law. Ban on cow slaughter is a state subject. A state government may ban cow slaughter keeping in view the conditions in the state. Accordingly, there is total or partial ban on cow slaughterin many states. The North East, Kerala and West Bengal are the states without any ban.
The ban on cow slaughteris well within power of the state governments and they can enforce this. But it is wrong to threaten anyone to either send him to Pakistan or kill him for the offence of beef eating or cow slaughter. Cow slaughter should also be taken just like any legal issue e.g. theft, cheque bouncing etc. You don't send somebody to Pakistan if his cheque bounces. similarly you can punish according to law but not kill or send to Pakistan somebody violating law on cow slaughter ban.

yes no one can drink poison. it is illegal. Indeed leader who are giving this type of statement is creating problem for PM Modi. His focus is only and only development of country. Now BJP president call clarification for this statement from Haryana CM.
India's democracy has forced the PM to reign in the motor mouths to send the message that in a pluralistic country a narrow agenda will not work. Is this also a message for RSS and other units of Sangh parivar? Democracy moves slowly but moves with finality. Bihar election results will be interesting to follow. Can Modi rise above his followers?
True. The fact that narrow agenda will prove counter productive is dawning on the minds of the BJP. It must act as a message and warning too to RSS and Sangh Parivar. Now , latest news says Amit Ahah raps BJP leaders for their communally provocative statements. I think Amit Shahs rapping should also send a message to the Sangh Parivar and RSS. Let's see if this is an eyewash rapping or otherwise.

Yes. This is eye wash. They fear electoral reverses. RSS is an old organization and their ideology is not hidden. This is reinforced by statement of Naidu. He fears that image of India will be affected. The image will definitely be affected as RSS and irs affiliates cannot change. The various provocative statements from RSS and its affiliates inclusive of BJP continue. Danage is already done. even if they now maintain silence, their venomous ideology is exposed. Naidu talks of stray incidents. These are not stray but part of deeper conspiracy. Now another funny thing. Panchjanya, RSS paper justified killing on suspicion of beef eating. Now RSS says that Panchjanya is not RSS paper. Can you think of bigger deception. Ever one knows that 'Organizer' and 'Panchjanya' represent the RSS and its affiliates.

I agree with you sir. Eye wash measures will not stay. The reality surfaces up sooner than later. It is better for the the Government to deassociate from the influence of RSS and Sangh Parivar. People voted to BJP .Not to RSS and Sangh Parivar
What is termed as deception is found in every walk of political life with some parties gong in for the biggest deception by hiding their agenda, whereas some are open about it. RSS would not be here if it did not have the support of people and their only fault is that they want to make sure that Hinduism thrives. If other religions are given a boost to do so why not them? As far as other labels given to them, it is the work of the media and the well known oldest party which does not what its true principle is since it has lost all credibility...One gets to hear different voices within a party , does not mean that is the true voice , similarly RSS has issued a statement..

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!
@Usha the issue is not about RSS philosophy and its activities. The issue is its backseat driving the elected BJP government. If RSS wants the country to follow its agenda it should enter the elections on its own and let people decide. Making BJP ask votes on development and then when people give it a majority , RSS tries to push the govt. to follow its agenda is undemocratic and cheating the peoples mandate. It is this dubious act which is opposed by vast majority of people. Let it enter the elections and if it wins there will be no opposition. And the oldest party for all its faults was elected by the people to govern, it did not make back door entry. I agree with you that RSS is champion of Hinduism but let it not dabble in politics by keeping BJP in front.
It is a known fact that many of the top BJP leaders have an RSS background and people have voted for them knowingly...RSS and its ideologies are its own but running a nation is quite another matter and even if RSS carries out its mission it need not effect the governance . BJP has been doing excellent work as far as development is concerned and that is precisely why all minor issues are being blown out of proportion by vested interests just to show the party in poor light ..People are intelligent enough to see what is true and what is fabricated and whoever is in the wrong will ultimately pay the price ! It has happened before and will happen again/
Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!
Parties fight elections on the basis of declared manifestos. Not on the background of the leaders.
