India is now a free country. She became free of 15, August, 1947. Gandhi fought bravely like a soldier for India’s freedom for many years. At last he made his country free in 1947. He is, therefore, called ``The father of the nation’’.
Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was the first prime minister of India. He was flower of Mahatma Gandhi.
Truth, nonviolence and peace were his swords.
Gandhi loved truth and Ahimsa all his life. He never told lie. At school, he always tried to speak the truth. He always tried to be at school on time. He always tried to do his lessons well.
Gandhi tried to help Harijans all his life. He always fought for their rights. Harijans have now the same rights as others. All people are now equal in the eyes of the government. Gandhi was a great friend of the poor and the down-trodden. He loved them as much as he his won flesh and blood. He always tried to help them the most. He wanted to root out all evils in the country. He wanted to set Ram Rajya in the country. His chief mission was to `Wipe every tear from every eye’.
He was born in Porbandar. He was a very simple man. His dress was short dhoti and upper one khandva. He was lived in Sabaramati Ashram.
Gandhi knew that India was a poor country. He tried to make her a great country in the world. He tried to make her rich and strong. He lived, worked and died for mother India.
`` Gandhi was the greatest and noblest son of mother India. He was one of the world’s greatest men. Yet this noblest son of India was shot dead by one of his own countrymen, Nathuram Godse. Gandhi was going to the prayer meeting when the suddenly fired at him. Gandhi fell down, murmuring the words ~He Ram’, and the next movement he was dead. His death was great loss to the nation. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru said, ``The light has gone out our lives and there is darkness everywhere. The sun of our lives has set for ever’’. Gandhi is not dead; he still lives in the hearts of millions. Let us be worthy of him.

village family
From very early times, people had lived in groups. Even most of the animals go about in groups. We have to depend on each other to live happily and peacefully. Do you know which group is the smallest among people? It is the family.
A family consists of a father, mother and children. Some times the family includes grand parents, uncles and aunts. Then it becomes a big family. Wealth may be shared between the members of the family.
Father is the head of a small family. Father and mother are called parents. We must obey our parents.
Small or a big family is in a house with the high or low members. Family members are in a unity.
Father is an earner. Mother is also cooker and earner.
Good health family is live with happily.
How do we know about the people who lived a long log time ago?
We know such things from the stories others tell. We also know these from books. Story of the past is called `history’.
History tells us about the life and incidents of the past.
There are a lot of books on history.
Sometimes, people write the history of the life of other people. It is called `biography’. When a man writes his own biography it becomes `auto biography’.
We can read books at the libraries. Have you got a library in you village or town? Then go there and read the books on history and biography.
My village
Villages consist of group of many families. Do you know the name of your village? From where did it get that name? If you don’t know, ask the elders.
There are many buildings in our country which are important in the history. Taj Mahal, Quatab Minor is some among them. There may be many stories behind old buildings. These buildings are called `historical monuments’.
Have you got any such monuments in your village?
Yes, no doubt, possibility is there.
Some places are also important in history. Delhi and Porbandar are examples. Do know how Porbandar became famous? It is because Mahatma Gandhi was born there.

In this article we will see how to know whether the person you wish to have a friendly relationship is good or bad.......so Buckle UP!!!
[F1.] When you are seeing that particular person( the one you want to have friendship with ) for the first time you must not conclude he/she is a good one besides he/she indulged in a good or bad activity.
[F2.] And at most of the times we wish that person should do things that are good and stylish in a way we feel better, such scrutinizing kind of thoughts can break the realtionship you are longing for.
[F3.] And we decide whether that person is kind or rude only on the way he behaves to us where this should be avoided.
[F4.] And after a day or two we feel pity on ourselves as you might have thought of the thing 'that' person did some days ago( even it could be frustrative)
[F5.] And 'using' that person for your self activities Is unforgivable.
[F6.] And never think bad of yourself or make fun of yourselves to make others laugh as it might make you a dummy.
[F7.] And never thing that person would be acting(good/bad/etc) as this is the first time you are meeting him/her.
that's it this is a beginners guide....
Thankyou,

Students are the makers of modern India. the question weather students should be allowed to take part in politics has been wholly debated. Some politician, educationists and teachers think that the studentsshould be given practical training in politics. being the future citizens of the country they must get primary and practical knowledge of democracy. opposition political parties speak in favour of students participation. in the battle of freedom, students have played their active role with the nationalists and patriots of our country. they made their memorable contribution in uprooting the foreign rule from our country. but now, when are country is free, the question of students taking part in politics is disputed one.
Different views regarding the Relation of Students and Politics: To the orthodox people, politics leads students far away form the goal of their life. the foremost aim of students is to complete their studies and be able to join practical life. They cannot serve two masters at a time. by taking part in politics, they shall neglect their fundamental duties of academic enrichment and moral character. hence inspite of taking an active part in the politics of their country, they should devote themselves whole-heartedly to their studies. modern people and people with revolutionary temper are the opinion that no age is prescribed for taking part in politics. in free country, politics an important part of education and modern life. hence to cut students off from politics is too deprive them of full knowledge of modern life. students should not be prohibited from their interest in politics as the training of politics is a kind of apprenticeship for practical life.
according to modern people, proper political training should be given to students in schools and colleges through debates, discussions and lectures and a healthy outlook towards politics should be formed. students have got every right to study the political problem and the burning questions concerning their own country as well as the world at large.
Disadvantage of Students by taking active part in Politics: The first disadvantage the students suffer when they participate in politics is the general neglect of their studies. Politics is, in fact, the game of scoundrels. those who have no interest in reading and writing talk about the need of political training for the coming generation. they cut a sorry figure at examination and then repent, but it is too late when they are grown up, they are ill equipped for the job. they lack an all-round general education. Assault, stabbing and murder take place the campus only because politics is allowed to enter into the academic world. the various political parties must agree to spare the student community from politics. they should not involved students in their activities. the political parties should not support financially or otherwise any contestant in student elections.
Unions and Associations: Unions and Associations are meant to ventilate students grievances in education institution. this work can be done even without forming unions and associations. A few privileged students money in the name of training for democracy. rich students never care about the grievances of the poor ones. they either develop sweet relations with the authorities for their selfish ends or challenge their authority on baseless grounds. hence unions and associations are dangerous to academic life.
The government has reduced the minimum age for having the right to vote. hence those who wants to take part in practical politics, are free to contest an election for either Assembly or the Parliament. Mostly the talk of practical politics is rooted in the vested interests of the rich. the mischief-mongers in educational institutions want to have a privileged position.
It is true that politics is not a game for half- developed powers and immature minds of young men and women. students need great cultivation and discipline before taking active part in politics. if students are half-education and ill-equipped, they will be harmful to themselves as well as to their country. they should utilize students life to the maximum. Crafty and cunning politicians may deceive and dupe them by inciting and exploiting them. they should keep before them the honour and the integrity of the nation and should save themselves from the exploitation by those cunning politicians. students may take an active part in social and constructive programmes run by their government. they may observe and absorb the various movements with the help of their teachers and parents, they may show a keen interest in a peaceful manner. peaceful debates will help them to form their views. thus they will be better prepared for life when they complete their studies. In the end, we can say that the students should know the political position of the country, be acquainted with the political problems and also think over these. they may express their views on political problems and but they must refrain from active participation during their students career.
Reservation for women is not a bounty but only an honest recognition of their contribution to social development.every political party for the last many years has been assuring its support to the bill which disarms women activists. according to an Internation Labour Organisation, while women represent 50 percent of the world adult population and the third of the officiallabour force they perform nearly two-third of all working hours, receive a tenth of world income and own less than one percent of world property.
Women's reservation Bill: The Women's reservation Bill (WRB) providing 33% reservation for women in the Lok Sabha. the bill is now firmly on the nation political agenda and political parties know that sooner or later, something will have to be done. Congress Deputy Leader in the Lok Sabha Shivaji Patil believes that representaion of one constituency by two MPS can not be a source of conflict.Patil has ignited the latest disputation on the WRB by insisting that the present bill can only be passed in the monsoon session if double member constituencies are introduced in one-third of all parliamentary seats.it is difficult for the existing bill to be passed since the majority of male MPs believe that introducing 33% reservation will, along with reservation for Tribes and Scheduled Castes make 50% of seats unavailable to them. Women activists are terrified at Patil's suggestion. according to Ranjana Kumari, coordinator the WRB is presently the property of the house and it is against parliamentary propriety for MPs to be expressing an opinion outside the house. If a new process is started at this stage it will mean that the WRB gets delayed by yet another six years.
Election Commission: The Election Commission had also put up a proposal making it forced for political parties to nominate 33% women candidates with a state as a unit for the Lok Sabha and the district as the unit for the state assemblies. The Election Commission suggestion has the advantage that it does not bear the 'quota' tag. The Shiv Sena is opposed to the Election Commission's suggestions and Mulayam Singh Yadav is not willing to grant more than 20% seats for women. he has argued time and again that reservation will only favour elite, English-speaking women and will not empower backward or low-caste women, especially since the majority are present in Parliament by virtue of family connections forged either by marriage or by birth.
The Indian politicians is to be realised that they can no longer ignore the justified demands of reservation for the women in Parliament and State Legislature. The struggle for the women's empowerment goes on, one must. however, not forget that though number and percentages are important. it is ultimately numbers coupled with the correct world-view that can go a long way to strengthen the movement for women's liberation. the 33% reservation for the women will remain a 'Forlorn Hope' because the Parliament dominated by such MPs and lack of 'will' of determination with ruling party and no support from the other parties.
