Anger is the fire of the mind. As it burns, it burns up the others as well.

Why do we get angry?

One reason is the desire for revenge. This is born out of hatred for a rival. If things don’t turn out according to your wishes, you get angry. It can be born out of your own weakness. You get angry because you are unable to fight. May be someone has insulted you or laughs at you. You get angry. Once a person gets angry, he shows it in some form or the other. You might heap insults on someone or you might even beat up someone.

From suicide to murder, any of these things is possible in a fit of anger.  The tragedy is that nobody gains anything by losing one’s temper. Yet it has been seen that whole families have been wiped out due to anger. Father kills son, son murders father, and so on.

Anger is the root of sin. It happens all the time in all sorts of situations. Even a group of tiny children can be seen fighting with each other because they have lost their tempers. Families fight. Friends become enemies and nations go to war with one another. The mother who holds her child close to her breast does not think twice about beating the child once she is angry. Anger can make a person do anything. This is why it is said to be the root of sin.

Still there has to be an end to anger. When the fires of anger have been put out, a feeling of repentance takes over. Sometimes we are proud to admit our anger, so we do not show that we are sorry.  But the foolishness of anger is always followed by repentance. There is a Sanskrit saying that says:  “A good man’s anger lasts a moment, an ordinary man’s anger lasts two hours, but lowly man’s anger for a day or night, a sinner stays angry till he dies.”

Anger only reveals our own animal nature. Instead of understanding the problem or another person’s mistake, we display our own crudeness.

An incompetent person gets angry.

A person who is not able to convince others gets angry.

A person who is unable to influence others gets angry.

Have you ever seen a wise man lose his temper? He knows how useless it is. He knows how fearsome the fire of anger can be.  Maharishi Parasher has said that only the foolish get angry, not the wise.

Yes, anger is the weapon of the weak. The strong and the brave do not use it. When a person is not what you want him or her to be, you get angry. But think for a moment. Are you the way someone wants you to be?  Or are you made the way you have become yourself? When you cannot be like someone else, how can you expect someone else to be like you? What right have you, to get angry?

Man’s greatest enemy is anger. And if you can overcome anger, it will be considered your greatest victory. You become blind with anger. You lose all sense of right and wrong, fair and unfair. In a fit of anger, you can do anything. Later, you realize how foolish you have been. Sometimes you have to pay a heavy price for this foolishness. Gautam Buddha said, “Just as you cannot see your reflection in boiling water, an angry man does not know what is good for him.”

What is the remedy for anger? One suggestion is that the moment you get angry, you should start counting backwards. Once sometimes elapses, anger also can be brought under control. When you put out a fire with water, there is a lot of smoke. For a while you cannot see. So it also with anger. If some time is allowed to pass, anger can be controlled. The real hero, therefore, is one who conquers anger.

Beware of anger. Only saints never get angry. It is quite human to get angry, but you must know how to control it. If you let your temper take control of your life, you will become like rakshasa.

Women of India:

Why keep blaming the west for all our ills? Why do we even look towards the west in anticipation for answers to our pressing problems? The people who have been, and those who are still living; our very own citizens are responsible for the ills we face. Take this example, a high court orders an arrest for a western actor and an Indian actress, who patently pecked each other on stage. Well, the intention was to regard our 'high' Indian moral standards. However, not many weeks back, in political rallies, young girls aged 16 & 17 years were dancing to racy tunes to a crowd of lecherous dirty politicos - for political canvassing. The same political canvassing that will elect our next leaders. How many filed PILs' and how many magistrates did anything to hold up the indecent showcasing of our 'Indian women', that too, girls who should be getting educated.

Position of women vs religion:

Religions are the platform of discrimination since its inception and the women are the most sufferer. Actually the claver wicked learned people in the ancient time used religion not only to discriminate women but also to create division in society. We were taught to follow the religions in such a way that still today we become afraid to go against religion knowing it is wrong. (Ex: Generally in Hinduism there is a ritual of donating all household articles during Shraddh. knowing those articles will be used by pandit only, we don't revolt against the ritual). In this process men become egoistic and still feel uncomfortable in giving equal power and rights to women.

A doctor rashmi agarwal(an MBBS,MD degree holder) was just stabbed brutally seven times by her husband.(Her husband who is also a MBBS doctor, and a son of a famous medical authority holder personnel) the Girl (rashmi agarwal) remained in coma for 7 years after the attack. And last year she died. Now what positivity is being shown here?
Is it not common in Indian culture? a working woman will wake up at 6 o clock in morning, will make food for her lazy husband, will make tea breakfast for her in-laws, will make her children ready for school, and will leave to office then after all her duties at home at 9.There at office, she will work her all stuff, all hard work, in evening at 7 she will return to home, she is supposed to make food for the in laws, and the dearest children who actually are her duties, her responsibilities, and then only she may have a bit of rest.

Great males crying against women, how many of them actually know how to broom and clean the floor of their home?, How many of them are used to cleans the utensil and how many helps their wives in making food by cutting vegetables or making flour ready for making chapattis? How many of them really can make tea for their wife everyday in morning and in evening after she come back tired from the office? How many of the males are used to help their children in studies and home works? How many of males changes the dirty diapers of babies?.If the  male will not help her out in homely duties and responsibilities, Now she is not going to leave her jobs.women are awakening, and no one can exploit her. Women deserves economic freedom, she will earn for herself, women deserves respect, and it is shame if she is considered as companion of male, because male in no way is better than female, However women may choose a male as her companion, but only a companion. Women deserves any type of education available in which she is interested in. women deserves freedom from the societal hurdles and chains of marriage while she is not interested, and various ills like dowry, and others. Women will get it. No illusionist’s stories can stop women from getting it NOW!

Western Women:

In UK,the women started their struggle to get the right to vote in 1897.In 1903, women social and political union came was formed, mere 100 years ago. And finally, in 1918, the resolution was passed by the house of commons in UK granting women the right to vote. The results of the vote are as follows: 385 in favor and 55 were still against, just 90 years ago. And this right was only given to women above 30 years of age where as males were allowed to vote at the age of 21.

Now coming to the Sole superpower on earth, the USA.

The American declaration which took place in 1776 has no concept of Women Rights. Richard writes in his book ''American History- A Survey New York, 7th Edition 1987 Page 122''.He writes that in the colonial society, a married woman has literally no rights and that the revolution did little to change. The declaration of rights was only for men and not for women, not even for white women.Susan B Anthony,the champion of the American Women rights was sent to jail in 1872, and her crime was for casting the vote. She broke the law by casting her vote since women were not allowed to vote in USA.
The USA adopted the equal rights for women in 1919.

Islam Women:

Almost all western countries adopted Women rights just about 100 years ago where as Islam declared women as legal person in Quran.About 1400 years ago, women were appointed as Members of Parliament,administrators,officers in the administrative department of the state of Madinah. Hazrate Shifa binte Abdullah was appointed as a judge.Ladies were appointed as ambassadors,diplomats.During the Caliphate of Hazrat Usman Ghani RA Hazrate Umme Kulsoom,daughter of Hazrat Ali RA was sent as an ambassador/diplomat to the Queen of Roman Empire.(Quoted by Tabari, Tariq ul umame wal Mulook)


Mixed marriage doesn’t mean that one should marry a non Muslim. Marriage with non Muslim is haram. Here It means that one is encouraged to marry anyone from any tribe, nation etc. e.g. a Muslim man from America can marry a Muslim women from Africa and vice versa. A women can take divorce in Islam. But I have a serious problem with Islamic personal laws in India. The triple talaq is valid just for men. A khula, that is the women has to pay her mahr( dower) or some consideration can be done but only with the consent of the husband. A mutah or a divorce by mutual consent can also be done.
According to classical Hanafi law which is followed in South Asia a women has no other option for divorce. By adding other principles from Maliki law and other grounds there is something called the Dissolution of Muslim Marriages Act where a woman has many grounds for divorce such as cruelty, adultery etc. But a man can divorce at will, while a woman cannot in India. Polygamy is also permissible without any restrictions imposed by the state. Contrast that with Pakistan, where triple talaq is very restricted, a man has to give a notice to a chairman of an arbitration council and the marriage is dissolved one month later, so there is a chance for reconciliation. A women has the right to a khula divorce by paying her dower even without the consent of her husband. In the case of polygamy no man can have a second marriage without getting permission in writing along with reasons for marriage from the court and consent of the wives. Note that consent is not required in India. In this way, I would like to educate the community members about the problem of Islamic personal law in India which is so gender biased. This was not the intention of the Prophet at all and triple talaq is a disapproved practice by him. Whatever may be the problem of women in Islam, its personal law in India needs to be revised immediately. I would welcome any debate on this!

And laws in Islam are not the same at all everywhere; there are many different schools of law which are interpretations of the law, mainly because there is not enough in the Quran and hadiths to have a position of law which is relatively certain on every issue.
I'm a law student btw and I wrote a paper on Islamic personal laws in India, Malaysia and Pakistan so I have cited sources for everything I'm saying.

A lot of Muslim women who are hard done by because of these laws do have a big problem and suffer a lot and do speak out. There are lots of cases fought in court where for example a triple talaq was uttered while intoxicated where the courts have ruled that the man and woman cannot remarry until the woman gets married to someone else. Even the man wants his wife but can't. There are countless other examples so please don't generalize.

In Hinduism:

Child Marriages mostly Happen Among certain community of People Who Call Themselves Hindus. It even happens among Muslims and Christians; especially catholics.The canon law of the Catholics keeps the minimum age for marriage at 14 for girls and 16 for boys.Social and economic conditions lead to child marriage, be it among Hindus, Muslims, Christians, animist tribal or any other community. But, the scriptures of Hinduism, or for that matter, any of the world's major religions, don't insist on child marriage. The Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day has emerged only in the Twentieth century & it is not connected to the teachings of Jesus .practice is prevalent among Christians also, besides among Muslims in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, the middle east and other places. It is also prevalent in many parts of Africa, and in fact, child marriage has existed in every civilization at some point of time or the other, and cannot be said to only be a practice of the Hindus of india.

Hinduism has lots of hypocrisy as a religion. In one way it says god can be worshipped as a mother another way it allows dowry, child marriage, less rights to women in education than marriage. questions against divorce and widow marriage. In one way it touches feet of divine mother the other way doesn’t allow girls to worship in temples. (Very few r exceptions).in one way durga kills the asuras when male gods fail. The other way they don’t allow girls to get out of home for work.

Icons of women:

Every girl must think of there ideal as Rani lakshmi bai.But in our nation are improving day by day.Women are running the big organizations. Like you can take the example of Sonia Gandhi as Chairperson of the Congress party and leading the whole country. Women are bold enough nowadays to take their decisions in the cities. It is because of the education provided to the girls to become self dependent. But there are many wrong things going in small towns or villages like marrying the small girl, dowry system, Sati pratha,etc where they are dependent on their parents and parents are very poor to afford the expenditure of the girls.

But in the metro cities the things seems to be totally different. The women are educated in the metro cities and they become self dependent. They start getting the higher salaries by working hard. We should our thinking levels..U can also take the example of Sunita Williams, an American astronaut of Indian origin, has been chosen to be a part of NASA's 14th expedition to the International Space Station (ISS).We can also take the example of Kalpana Chawla. Nation is proud of these women. We can also take the example of Condolesce Rice. Women can do each and everything. The situation can be made good by spreading the education to every person in India because there are certain area in which people think that women are weaker sections. So Women must take the step forward and prove themselves too proud for their nation and world.

Self confidence implies mental strength. It lives in the soul. A person who has no faith in himself is the weakest type of a person. Such a person may be physically strong. But the smallest difficulty shakes him up. He is not able to face difficulties. Yet, if you have faith in yourself, you can change the direction of your life.

When you have tried to do something and you have been unsuccessful, nobody will call you a loser. However, the moment you lose your faith, your self-confidence, then you becomes a loser. You are dead even when you are alive if you lose faith… this means you do not have the will to work hard or to try. Faith in yourself gives you the inspiration to keep trying till you succeed. If you kept telling yourself, “oh I’ll never be able to do it,” then you will really never succeed. If you are filled with doubts and suspicions, disappointments and self questioning, how can you build up confidence?

Remember, God has given you so many gifts and abilities. It is up to see them, understand them, develop them and use them. Take for example, the well. Every well has water. But only if you dip into the well with confidence with a bucket can you fetch the water and make use of it. Your strength is just like the water. Everybody has the strength.

If you have been unsuccessful in your first attempt, never mind; try again. And even if you have been unsuccessful in your next attempt, don’t lose heart. Look at the small creature ant.

Look how hard she works. Watch her climb that wall with a small grain. Neither does she turn back. She forges ahead. Nothing can stop her. Rows of walls do not hinder her speed.

Learn from the ant, that you must keep trying, that you must keep going ahead. You have learnt in an earlier lesson that success and failure are things of the mind. Confronted by your self-confidence and perseverance, failures can come to an end. A little child has to try hundreds of times before it can finally stand up without aid. Not only does it stand, it even runs. It does not give up.

It is rare to meet with success at the very first attempt. And even if this does happen, it is coincidence. We must all be self-reliant. Our country should be self-reliant. Dust off the ashes of doubt from your mind and build up self-confidence.

Napoleon’s ships once attacked Nelson’s fleet. While the enemy was approaching, Nelson was playing tennis. When he completed the game, he started playing chess. ‘Don’t worry,’ he told his men. I will finish this game of chess and finish off the enemy as well.’ He was true to his word.

Self confidence brings with it certain other qualities as well. There is self-respect, extreme patience, generosity and courage. See with what confidence the lion stalks the jungle. No other animal can take away this confidence from the lion.

Only one word makes the difference between heroism and cowardice. That word is self- confidence. The hero has faith in himself. The coward does not.

Remove the words ‘failure’ and ‘impossible’ from your dictionary and march ahead.

 Spend Time with Kids

Nowadays most of Moms are back to work immediately after a few months of delivery due to various reasons. Most of them have problems in balancing between Work, Family and the Social activities. Most of them might have opted for alternative arrangements in looking after their kid; of course there is nothing wrong in it until they try to balance between work, family and Social Activity. I believe most of them would start early to office and by the time when they are back the whole day is almost gone and for most of the kids the day has already come to an end. Once they come they will enter into the kitchen to get set everything for dinner. Working Moms find it difficult to spend time with their kids. First let us try to understand the consequences of what happens if they don’t spend these first few years of bonding with their kids

In place of a mother looking after a kid someone else is doing that and they gain control of the kids rather than the mother and Sometimes mothers cant even understand the kids feelings, expressions. Spending majority of the day away from Kids make relationship more difficult.

When kids grow they capture everything in mind faster than anyone that is especially when a kid turns two. They capture more from observation. We can see that they try to imitate most of the actions we do. This is the age were kids get socialize with each other, they try to explore new things and activities. I personally believe this is the age were a mother can influence the child more than anyone else.

Most of hired Aunts make television as a baby sitting. It has been proven that kids who watch more television have crucial effects both mentally and as well as physically. Most of the kids initial stages (at least 5 years) should be spent in activities like playing, reading, music, exploring.

Now start on the ways to spend more time, quality time with your kids for more bonding.Once you are back from office plan your work accordingly so that you can spend more time with your kids. Give them a quick bath; try to play with your kid’s daily, talk to them, play music and dance with them, if you have enough time take them to a park near by or you can also involve them in small household work you do. Weekends are the best time to do more for your kids.

When kids grow (especially when they are two) they pick up more from observation so be sure about everyone’s behaviors. Be careful about the behavioral issues. Any activities that you don’t want your kids to get should be kept away from them.

If you have hired someone to take care of the kids be clear about the activities and the television timings for your kid. For kids less than five maximum of two hour of television is enough. It doesn’t mean that these duties are only for a mother it’s for parents and after all it’s necessary for a healthy relationship. Make quality time for your kids and don’t forget to put a smile on their face.
