God has created human-being, which is the most wonderful living thing in the world. Man has excellent thinking power, by virtue of brain. With his own thinking power, man inculcated his daily habits to take care of him. Working at day time, eating periodically and sleeping at night time are some of those. Lastly mentioned sleep is not the least one. Sleep is an important thing in human life and nobody should neglect it.
But today, due to the changing trend and daily busy schedule, this generation is neglecting the sleep. They do not cosider it as an important thing in our life. But for our well being and health, sleep is a very vital factor. Good sleep helps in keeping us mentally and emotionally happy and healthy.
Do not think sleeping is a waste of time and a symbol of laziness. In fact, sleeping is just like investing in a property for decent future returns on it. Just like the investment in property, where we get good returns after some time, sleeping also makes us healthy and happy in life ahead. Sleeping gives the brain some rest and refreshes the same after working long hours during day time.
During the hours we spend in rest, the sleep will generate and undertake specific repairs of our body and its systems. Your illness, mental worries, tiredness, weakness and any other problem is dissolved in the sleep and you will be refreshed with a new beginning in the morning. Good sleep also helps in fighting the infections and get well quicker.
EFFECTS OF BAD OR INSUFFICIENT SLEEP:
It is a serious threat to our health. Insufficient sleep causes high blood pressure and heart diseases.
Bad sleep also makes us irritable to each and every petty thing, quick to get anger and have a low tolerance level in solving any problem we face in daily routine of our life. Bad sleep also does not allow us to concentrate on anything properly and it badly affects our office work and or any other schedule of the day.
The main reason for lot of accidents is the effect of bad sleep during the night and many valuable lives are being lost due to this reason. Loss of appetite or excessive eating are other bad effects of insufficient sleep.
So do not neglect sleep and let your body take rest at least for seven to eight hours during night time, which is ideal period for rest and recuperation for it. By going through some quotations, we can know the importance of sleeping more:
