All you know that great proverb - "Nothing succeeds like success". And all we love to see the fruits of our labors in any walk of life. To some access path to success is straight and to some it is a winding long course but ultimately the fact is that both get there. I always wonder if there could a a surefire recipe for it! Any rational person would agree that there could hardly be any. But I feel it is worthwhile to examine it in the light of our own experiences.
In this maelstrom of success and failure in life a closer study of the records of one who has made it in life and who unfortunately could not, would reveal the reasons in telling terms. What are the ingredients or what go into the makings of success. In the following lines it would be my humble efforts to put forward my views.
How Many Frets and Fumes at Bends
As I have observed earlier that the access path to success may be a straight one for a select few but it is not so for multitudinous thousands. Here again we find cases who get stuck at bends failing to negotiate the tortuous bends and turns which litter their path to success. My honest suggestion in this context is that never mistake the bend or bends to be the end!
Prefix the Letter ' D' to the Word 'Anger'
It is always worth asking ourselves how often we have given the game away by coming under the influence of that dangerous emotion called 'Anger' and you just add 'D' to its beginning and see the 'danger'! Anger always shows our weakest side of our personality and our senses are the very first ones to desert us in a bout of senseless anger. So mates, it is absolutely essential to cultivate calmness of minds. While calmness produces solutions, anger does just the opposite. It just adds to - if not multiply - our problems!
Busy or Be Easy
One must develop speed but not haste. We must ask ourselves as to how often we burden ourselves with expectations not in commensurate with the sweat of our brows! In the process we expose ourselves to the dangers of tension and stress. Work at your own pace consistently and be easy not busy!
Learn to Master Your Ego
I read somewhere that ego is a double-edged sword - the outer edge cuts your popularity and inner edge pierces your purity! How true are the words! I
Concentrate on Building A Well-rounded Personality
A balanced psycho-somatic personality goes a long a way in achieving our ends. We must not only develop a morally sound and intellectually sharp mind but also lay equal emphasis on developing a sound body.
Before I conclude I must borrow the quote of a corporate trainer who has put it across so brilliantly: "When you bring your highest talents and deepest devotion to the work you do, what you are really doing is setting yourself up for a richer, happier and more fulfilling experience of living."
