The earlier system was not successful as members has to leave the forum and just be on chating page in order to chat. We are looking at a system which allow members to do chatting without leaving other pages, just like a floating bar on bottom.
We are looking at options instead of developing them inhouse. I am not sure how much time it will take but will update you when it is available.
