I have every right to put forward my views and not leave space open to the irrational thoughts and fake sciences like astrology, palmistry, Vastu , numerology. Science is universal. True knowledge is universal. But fake sciences are .not so. We have Physics, Chemistry, Maths same everywhere because these are true. On the other hand, we have various brands of astrology and palmistry in the world. Astrology in america differs from Indian. similarly palmistry. Why? Because these are false and fake!.
I completely agree. This so called "science" is not at all consistent. Sometimes it is accurate sometimes not. That isn't what Science means or advocates. How can someone predict exactly what will happen to all people in the world born during a particular period? In Science, even if one contradiction arises, however small, the proposed theory has to be rejected completely.

It is a thin line between belief and science for those who lean towards their faith. They see scientific reasoning in what they believe . Personally speaking I would not junk every belief saying that it has no scientific validity and as yet unproven. We have seen many such beliefs that were written off being proven right after a while ..

But if we talk about astrology in particular, it can hardly be called a part of Science. Its like throwing a dice while gambling in a casino. You absolutely don't know what the outcome will be, but if it's what you predicted, JACKPOT!!

It is the occasional jackpot that attracts people to astrology and palmistry ..I have a relative who is considered an expert at astrological predictions and has a successful career on that . He takes help from the internet and every other source at his disposal and comes up with something out of which even if two or three things work , people are happy !

Astrology rightly termed as occasional jackpot. I know a friend who does not know even ABC of astrology but he has been earning thousands of dollars from foreign citizens by foretelling. He is member of a site that solves peoples' problems on line. He gets some phone call every half an hour or even more frequently on internet. The questions mostly relate to health, love and finding some lost relative or friend. He listens carefully and asks some appropriate questions. Then he gives some positive reply. For example, she would meet her lover within one year. He just understand that people only wish to hear something positive from a 'specialist' and willing to pay something in return.
Most of our astrologers/ palmists are like this only. .

You just said Thank You on that post. Why do you feel the need to make another post just to acknowledge the previous one?

Some valid argument for and against astrology had been put forward by some thinkers and scientist s , found this one on the net ..

Astrology is an art with its roots in India. Being an Indian, better know about Astrology
As usual lecturing people while the member himself makes senseless posts with no thought or knowledge simply because he does not know what to do with himself. ..
