    Here is another riddle :P

    It is a nine letter English word. Each time you remove a letter from the word, it remains to be a perfect English word, till it goes down to be a word "IN".

    Common find that Base English word... ;) ;)

    The word will definitely end with -ing, I guess...

    SPLITTING
    Removing L==Spitting
    Remove P= Sitting
    Remove T= Siting
    Remove I== Sting
    Remove T==Sing
    Remove G=Sin
    Finally Remove S==IN

    But it does not go with the hint you provided.
