Exactly!JNU has been spreading utterly disgusting and vicious stories related to Goddess Durga and have banned students from celebrating Durga Puja while other religion festivities can be openly spread. JNU is already notorious for spreading poison in our society and now Jadhavpur University is revealed to be doing the same. It is also so irritating and upsetting to see that 'celebrities' and so-called artists are doing exactly this kind of thing and yet they get away with it. Recall the other thread posted by Rambabu regarding great artists of India and the kind of praises that have been heaped upon Hussain, Nalini Malani and the gang. They do the exact same thing all the time!

I happened to see the thread just now ...The problem with Indians and some people is their topsy turvy views on freedom of expression. It is always one sided and no wonder some artistes like Hussain go overboard with their freedom of expression while depicting anything to do with Hindus. The shameless intellectuals smile, nod and praise them for having done that ! Recently I was asked by a foreigner friend of mine as to why one needs to worry so much about the opinion of minorities in imposing UCC ? After all it does not hamper nor  stop them from practicing their religion, so why is there such a fuss? I told her it is because of the leniance given by the politicians and some other groups ..

I think it is not leniency of politicians, it is selfishness of politicians.

Well the artistic freedom shows some common sense. He has not dared to insult one religion which might have not been taken in good taste and the artist would have to pay heftily for it. So this is using your freedom license with caution, targeting the softer religion which can be punched and insulted every now and then in this pseudosecular country.

I remember one incidence from my teenage times. Indian cricket captain Mohd. Azharruddin was criticized badly by religious clerks for signing his name on shoes while he was advertising for the same. He was criticized because his name had Mohammed ( name of God) and he could not disgrace it by signing his name on a footwear. 

 I really fail to understand why anti hinduism is praised as being liberal and intellectual.

I am not sure what you mean by the first sentence that I have bolded. How is he using his common sense when he is defiling and insulting religious icons. Artistic freedom or freedom of expression does not mean that they can insult any religion as and how they like.

The very fact that the artistes freedom falls short when it comes to a certain community shows not only his double standard but also his prejudice..

I would agree to this "Freedom of Expression" the day I see something against the other community. I know they will dare not do that because that will give them a free ticket to where they  belong to without any delay.

That too, plus we can see to what extent the universities such as JNU, Jadhavpur have managed to poison Hindu youths towards their own religion and all that is held with reverence! Sign enough to think about seriously closing down such institutions.
