Everything went well for BJP during the national elections in May and now going by the by poll results in 33 seats across 4 states , it does look as if the party has become complacent after its success . I am glad it came early since they have more than enough time to realise all the mistakes they might have made since the nation is watching each and every move they make....No matter what reasons they may give it still shows that they have taken their success for granted ! On the one hand Modi is trying his level best to improve things and on the other hand a few elements are trying to pull down the party with their own agenda ..

The issue with BJP is that this is not entiely indepededent but is subservient to the Hindutva brigade also called sangh pariwar which is a fascist outfit. BJP- the political unit- left to itself may work more sensibly and work on basis of 'sab ka sath' but the parent organization viz RSS and other elements like VHP, Bajarang dal will not let them free. After all, the last parliamentary elections reult could not be so spectacular for BJP if the outfits like VHP, Bajarang Dal, Swabhiman trust of Swami Ramdev, other swamis (Rasputins) like 10008 Sri SRI Sri Ravi shankar etc had not all combined. Moreover if BJP is left alone and without actual backing of entire sangh pariwar, the results could be very modest and even poor in forthcoming elections.

It has now truly become a case of too many cooks spoiling the broth - But there are leaders who are able to understand ground realities esp the pubic mood and have enough time and opportunity to change certain things and make sure that they deliver...[/quote

Irrespective of the alliances and relations, any party cannot survive brushing aside '"Discipline."

In a way it is good that they got this jolt now rather than a year or two later...They need to analyse and see where they need to make changes and so on....BJP is a national party that is surely and steadily making inroads into all states , so there is no fear of it being marginalised by anyone ..
