Original Ramayan is there and in all forms of regional writers who wrote Ramayan there are different versions, these are modified in accordance with tastes of local populations. In Odia Ramayan, place of lanka is described as parts of Malkanangiri of Odisha and Telangana, so most of regional Ramayan deals with location and likings of people who read that.

A story that has come down from time immemorial must have some base in reality. Over the ages it got transformed into many versions and many side plots got integrated in it. However today it is immaterial whether it is history or mythology as both have got merged. One must take the good from it and not bother whether it is real or not for there is no way after lapse of thousands of years to check its veracity.

Well said. Instead of discussing about Ramayana's veracity, it is good to pick the Good and discard the Bad..

Ramayana is also popular in Thailand and parts of Indonesia like Bali although local population is no longer Hindu.

Will anyone justify the reason of Ramsetu which in itself is proof that something happened during that period!

Yes Ramayana is popular in those countries where Indians settled. It is popular in Singapore too.

'Ram Setu' is also known as ADAM'S BRIDGE.  Only experts can reveal the nature of the location called Ram Setu or adam Bridge.

Ram Sethu, also known as Sethusamudram and Adam’s Bridge is a stretch of limestone shoals that runs from Pamban Island near Rameshwaram in South India to Mannar Island off the northern coast of Sri Lanka.

Believers say it is the Bridge built by " Vanar Sena "of Rama.

Believers can believe what they want to believe. Natural formations can be interpreted as per one's beliefs. Till they do not harm anyone or hurt feelings they are OK. Rational explanations will not be accepted by believers and should not be attempted also. In the process both feel hurt.

I agree with you. Each one of us have our own beliefs. Wisdom lies in keeping the individuals beliefs with themselves. . Heckling or ridiculing or abusing should be kept far away. People can live without encroaching on each other's realm.
