The average monthly income of a person in a joint family of five is Rs. 1000. if the annual income of one member increases by Rs. 24000, what will be the average income of each member of that family?

You should write a table first, like one shown by me. Then, it is easy to solve. Actually, this question won't take even a minute to solve. That much easy.

yup now i have also made a table as like you did. I got the answer of all questions basd on this quiz .thanks now I am also trying for 2nd ques. But everytime my answer is 3000 which is not in even an option

Then, for answers we are going to create another table.
Then let me take first choice...."Dev publishers have published the magazine edited by Feroz"
So, I am writing first row as........Dev......Feroz.....Blank

2nd row......Aryan.....Blank.......Politics
"The magazine on films is edited by Swami and is not published by Charan Publishers"
3rd row.......Blank.....Swami......Films.
Since given, not published by charan.....Bharat remains the only option. Understand?

Note the steps....
First condition
Total no. of persons=5
Present average income = 1000
Total amount per month = 5000
So, for 1 yera, it becomes 5000*12=60,000
Clear?
Now, let us consider the second condition
When annual income of a person is increased by 24,000, total income of the family of the year = (60,000+24,000)=84000
i.e. Present annual income= 84000
So, to get average income per month = 84,000/12 = 7000
So, 7000 is total income of 5 persons in a month.
So, to get its average.....7000/5 = 1400

So, clearly, your answer is 1400.
Actually, I am very interested in solving average problems. At first I doubted, I couldn't do it. But now, i am happy.
