We are a secular state and our constitution declares it in no uncertain terms. It's always desirable to keep them apart!
Yes religion should be separated from politics, politics is completing different from religion and should be separate
Yes the religions must seperate from the politics because the politicians are using the religion as a factor for their political issues
we are a plural society with plurality in every walk of life and espousal of any particular religion would be disastrous!
We are a secular country and religion is already separated from politics. State has no religion. Religion pertains to individuals and not state.

Religion should always be separated from politics so that ever thing runs smoothly and peacefully. It is sometimes becomes an issue when some leaders makes it an issue and tries to create rift among people through mixing politics with religion...
In India the parties which tried to exploit religious sentiments of th people in the name of politics have largely been rejected by the people!

yes politics and religion are not differnt it must be separate.
There is no need of it.But as today it should not be used for exploiting the situation.It is the duty of holder how to use it wisely.
Although BJP is often accused of using religion to further political ends other parties too are guilty of it!
Not only BJP many parties like congress and even CPM also are mixing religion with politics.That is why some region has special candidates according to the religion of that area.
That's right! We have pesudo-secularist parties who never practise what these preach!
As our electorate are affected by caste, religion, region considerations, the political parties have no option other than to field candidates considering these aspects. That is why even secular parties field candidates considering religion, caste etc.
But I think in Indian scenario it is necessary to mingle all these!
According to our constitution, the religion and cast and partiality should be kept aside and should treat every one equal.
