Travelling broadens ones mind besides the other obvious benefits and values that are associated with it. How important is travel to individuals?

I have seen such groups, in fact my mother is a part of one such group and they visit at least once or twice a year some place of either tourist attraction and religious importance. Ever since my father is gone, she already had her own work, but now she really takes efforts to socialise and be with other women who share common interests. Has done her tonnes of good!
In fact, there are a couple of large, well-known travel companies who have been organising exclusive women's special tours where a lot of effort is taken to building the women's confidence. Women who never stepped out of the home ever, even wear evening gowns and walk the ramp during these tours.
Good that your mother is enjoying herself.. There are many travel groups to cater to all age groups, mixed groups etc etc. My sister who is a gynecologist has a group of gynecologists, all ladies who go together once in a while when they get long weekends . The last weekend they went to Bandipur, they came face to face with a tiger, thankfully they were on a tree top platform. But apparently the tiger sat there for 4 hours and they too sat on the platform wondering what to do next ? and their guides ware a little away and they too sat quietly without doing anything lol.. However they were all very thrilled later on after they reached their resort safely !
