There definitely is an AirIndia flight to Mangalore from Bangalore and the fare is even higher now...There are 9 direct flights operating between Bangalore and Mangalore each day sadly all private , more during weekends ! Since more than 3 years the earlier Indian airlines stopped operations and the long Air India flight has been introduced.The point I am trying to make is that private airlines are economical and much more efficient in this sector.

I have seen some families carrying all their burdens with them.while on a holiday instead of leaving everything behind at least for that short period of time and enjoy the new place and experience without being tense !

Filling the suit cases with unnecessary things  is not advisable.  less the luggage, more comfort.

Less the comment more the better. @ Usha hope you are ok after reading the above comment on your advice to leave care at home to enjoy the trip.

Such meaningless comments are to be expected ...this is what dampens the whole discussion when members comment for the sake of doing o without actually taking the trouble to read the comment and analyse it properly.Of course it adds to the comedy value..

True...but the comedy does get older and older and more irritating! LOL

These days we get to see a large number of women travelling in groups which is a very good sign...At times there is need for such holidays . I see more more ads coming up for sch holidays where a group of women get together and plan a holiday, need not be friends but individuals with common interest..

I have seen such groups, in fact my mother is a part of one such group and they visit at least once or twice a year some place of either tourist attraction and religious importance. Ever since my father is gone, she already had her own work, but now she really takes efforts to socialise and be with other women who share common interests. Has done her tonnes of good!

In fact, there are a couple of large, well-known travel companies who have been organising exclusive women's special tours where a lot of effort is taken to building the women's confidence. Women who never stepped out of the home ever, even wear evening gowns and walk the ramp during these tours.
