Sapath is different from Promise we all know about Sapath Grahan samaroh for Prime minister and ministers and what they do after promises.

Yes it is different but I don't know what is the exact difference in both.

Some times I regret promises made by me in heat of moment. But I always keep promises. If I fail to perform, my word will lose value. If you keep promise, you may lose some money or time but if you dishonor your own promise, your integrity and character fades and reliability ends.

Sir, a simple doubt....
In Hindi, what's the difference between kasam and vada

Kasme Vade nibhayeinge hum.....now i remember that lovely song
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xs8c3t_kasme-vaade-nibhayenge-hum-kasme-vaade-amitabh-bachchan-kishore-kumar_shortfilms

Another Kasme wade song was sung by Manna Dev for Pran

These are both Urdu words. 'Kasam' means 'oath' and 'vada' means 'promise' The plural form is Kasme and Vade.

again, a little bit confused.....I don't know the exact difference between these two words, oath and promises though have some vague ideas

Oath is Shapath in Hindi like a president takes when he made president and promise is wada in Hindi which we all do in our lives. :)

So, it means Oaths are taken to break ;) :P

In case the official oath is broken then the consequences are too severe.

You know they listen to " Antratma ki aawaz," so while taking oath they take a different oath inside and act on that.

'Promise' and 'oath' are totally different. A promise is an assurance to do or not do some thing. An oath is an assertion many be in name of God, some deity or holy book, that what you state is true. some take oath even in name of own child to prove their point.

'AAtma Ki awaz' means what your conscience says. What you really feel as correct is voice of inner conscience or 'aatma ki awaz'.
