Last year we went to Goa for a holiday and I found an Australian fully covered in tattoos except his face.He said it was teachings from Bible and also 'om' and some Hebrew words in between.
Most youngsters , even the older people have a tattoo or two on their forearms or on their backs these days, has become more of a style statement for many...

I have no issues with people having tattoos, provided they are pleasing to look at and are not meant to offend others. A beautiful little flower or a cute butterfly etc. is okay, but not those barbed wires and skulls kind of tattoos!! Yes and most parlours are stringent about following hygienic methods such as using disposable needles and good quality inks etc. So no issues!
Same here, I too cant stand too many tattoos on anyone.I came across a foreigner in Goa who had every part of his visible body including his skull covered with tattoos...My daughter has a small japanese symbol for family tattooed on her back, which I made sure was done at a proper parlor.In fact even after the tattooing , you are advised to take antibiotics and pain killers for almost a week until it completely dries..
