You know people in our part can make ice cream using earthen pots. Putting milk in molds, sealing them and shaking them adding salt and ice for some time. Check 'Kulfi' making on google.

Even now, there is 'kulfi' or ice cream made in 'mataka' (earthen pot) available with road side vendors at Agra though these are fewer.

I remember manual ice cream making machine that would need ice and salt in the outer part whereas milk and other ingredients would be in inner part. The machine was manually operated by a handle.

They come in different tastes and flavors. Milk is mixed with different ingredients and crushed dry frutes to make it special. This is altogether different in taste.

Whenever my granpa told me gold was 50/ a tola, about 12 gms, we used to stare him in disbelief, but I know he was right and see the rate today. That 12gms would cost almost 35k

I see people still using it in some parts of our country especially old people, who like the taste of water from this pot.

But what about salt with ice cream :woohoo:
I can't understand

Salt is not mixed with ice cream. Milk and other ingredients are kept separately in small containers. The Ice and salt are not in direct touch with milk. So no affect on taste

10 years before, a local call costs 1 rupee and STD minimum 3 rupee. Now, both available in 10 paise

That's right, the molds are sealed with wet flour and salt of course is used to bring temperature down to below zero while mixed with ice. That helps Ice cream to get set fast.
