They must undergo the grading process by the students. It would improve their quality of imparting education. They are one who build the base as well as the complete structure of a student's future. They must be given the leverage to teach their own way but their performance appraisal at the end of the year would be rewarding for the good teachers and would also compel those who do not teach well.

If teachers are not providing service and what do they exactly provide?If the so-called education authorities consist of hordes of political appointees as we saw during the 34 years' Left rule in West Bengal - what would be the quality of grading!!!
I think it is justified because in a way teachers will have to behave well with students and would have to go with the students to get a good evaluation in the same way as the students get along with the teachers to achieve a better grade in their exams..
In India we have a reached a stage where questions like 'who's going to judge the judge,who's going to police the polce' need to be asked.Similarly some of the institutional authorities have clearly failed in their duties to grade their teachers.Political proximities and other ulterior consideration have tended to guidevairous promotional policies.How do we take care of that - that's the question!!!
