Generally people who hold views contrary to their views are irrationalists otherwise everyone thinks he/she are rationalists and therefore we are liberal with advice to them.

Whether you advice them or not is immaterial here as long as they do not force their beliefs on others.

Many studies have been conducted on the direct relationship/affect of education on religion and it is always a positive one...in this article some statistics have been given that proves the same.

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

Very informative article. This thought provoking article confirms further each extra year spent in the class room led to a considerable decline in the belief of superstitious practices like belief in horoscopes and lucky charms etc.

It is the education that is necessarily that makes a difference. Every extra year spent in the class rooms takes you towards analytical thinking which is necessary. This type of education keeps an individual far from superstitious  and irrational thinking.

But remember, there are exceptions too. There are educated illiterates. No amount of education will make them literates.

Some  people may consider certain things as superstition and irrational thinking while for others it may be a firm belief , so it is best not to be judgmental about other peoples beliefs unless it is dangerous for the society as a whole  . It is best to let people draw their own conclusions since most beliefs have come down through generations and have become part of their lifestyle.

In developing countries like India people want knowledge to earn bread and butter and submit themselves to irrational beliefs. Yes if it does not affect any one it is Ok, especially when almost the whole society is homogeneous in this regard.

It is true.. One has to ensure be it rational or irrational beliefs of others should be honored and respected. If one cannot accept the beliefs of others, at least one should not disrespect.

I believe that both the sides must respect each other's opinion and belief. There are many reasons such as when financial condition is weak, continuous encounter with disease in one's family, children going the wrong way make many believe in so called superstition. They try every method to face the challenges and even practice superstition and that's because in any way they try to improve their condition. It is convenient for the logical people who do not face hardships of any kind to talk about hard work but it's difficult for those who after repeated effort fail to overcome hardships of various kind. Thus, sometimes educated people too become superstitious because of facing continuous trouble.
