Pakistan side refused to accept sweets offered by Indian soldiers on the occasion of Ed so there was no point in India offering sweets to Pakistanis on 14th August.

 I agree. When Pak is refusing to accept India's friendly gesture, I don't see any reason for running behind Pak for friendship ?
