Ask yourself if you're truly listening to others or if you're being distracted by your own chatter. Sometimes, listening means staying silent to give others a chance to talk, soaking it in, then perhaps responding if your response is needed.

An attentive listening can see the the real perspective of truth.

There are some people who pretend to listen but do not respond to what the other person has stated because they are busy trying to put forward their own views.For anyone to have a positive communication, you not only need to listen but also add your own views , either show your sympathies or add a word here and there,..

Exactly. some listeners hear but do not listen.
