Now the govt. has taken a U turn it says it's just warning.

It is unbecoming of wearing dark sunglasses in front of head of state, nevertheless, the matter should end here with a warning, though in career three warning means lesser merits in long run in CCR.

Why we should jump to hasty conclusions before seeing the response from the state govt after the concerned officer submitted his reply?

The code of conduct states that an officer will not wear sun glasses when meeting seniors. There is no doubt the officer was at fault. We Indians fail to call a spade a spade and that is the reason that we never dominated the world. There should have been no discussion but a  reprimand for this charlie.

Calling spade a spade requires guts. We look towards others for validation.

The case is over, but the etiquette of executive is important factors within any organization.

The case may be over. But a bad example by an IAS officer. remains. It must act as an eye opener for others.
