Hmm.. yes walking or bicycle can give good exercise. So if we can use them we should go for it.
You are right, I went for cycling yesterday and enjoyed a joyful experience of 20 KM, but roads are too good and separate for cyclists here.
That's great suni.. 20 KM, its surely good distance. I have never traveled that much on cycle.. Yes Road must be good there in compare of India.. Here not separate roads for cycle at most of the places, so it can create problem.
Yes not only the roads but cycles are also different. Cycles have better grip, no puncture problem due to different quality of tubes, very good road conditions and not much traffic to disturb. I have a co-worker who travels 80 km to and fro every day, almost my age. He comes to institute after swimming session of an hour in the morning.
That's really busy schedule. 80km!!, it hard to travel even in the car on the daily basis..
Cycle must be better in compare of here. But I guess that kind of cycle may available in big cities, not sure. But roads and traffic are surely unsuitable.
His cycle has multiple gears which can run 50-60km/hr besides roads are very good to offer any resistance. It takes hardly an hour from one side, besides he is a health/fitness freak.

@Suni.. Well that tells whole story.. He must have lots of stamina to do that in only one hour. Even we are having gear bikes here in India but I have never seen or hear anyone travel that fast with cycle.
