Hi Karthik-A doctor or any professional for that person needs some amount of maths, even though i agree that social is not much of a necessity.

Leave alone calculating his fees and charges, while doing an operation for guauging distance or the number of stiches tro be put, or for just taking ht, wt, BP measurement all that needs some amount of mathematical touch.

and physics, which is a branch of science also needs some amount of maths.
@Sridevi

To calculate such things like number of stitches etc small additions are sufficient. But a student to pass in 9th or 10th mathematics these additions are not sufficient and therefore end up as a failure.
Ok then...Karthik..
coming back to the topic.. these additons are what constitutes primary education.. and is essential for success.
That was an apt quote..

@Aastha,You quoted an example of a "street food stall which is owned by an computer engineer near my house, he sells burgers because he didn't get any job." But i would definitely say that, with his engineering mind, he would be able to make burgers more fast and efficintly, even hygienic, than others who were in that trade and follow traditional practices.

And true, person with a figthing spirit to acheive the goal in life is the step to success. But how does he do so? with what does he fight? It is via education..

Karthik-Primary education is indeed the stepping stone to secondary/ higer education.. Without learning the basic alphabet, you cannot expect to continue your eduction ..correct?
I have a contradiction here, if he is an engineer, there is no need for him to sell the burger, and he would not use any kind of skills of engg. in making burger as both are entirely different skills.
He should have been in any MNC not on strret, the point here to mention is that even college degrees or education cannot lead a person to a successful life.

The main point to be limelighted here is that Education must be there for all to become a better citizen, but if we talk about success so it can come with or without education.
Education is not just about college. Some people have a lifetime education of life. Some people work with their hobbies and later use that knowledge to become successful.
There are many ways to be successful and sometimes, it takes some people longer to achieve it. And lastly, some people don't become successful to some degree, because they give up.
Yet, I feel everyone can be successful on reaching a goal "they" have set and not what society tells you that your success should be.

Well said by Aasta,

For a person to succeed in life in a field like cricket or as artist or some other field, education is not required. If a person need to succeed in the life in the fields of engineering or doctor etc then he need to have sound background in his specialization and good practical knowledge.

True.. what I meant was he can use his engineering skills to develop on his burger business if he wants to. He can go on to build fast food shops, he will have to requisite knowledge and logic to judge where to set up outlets for maximum profit, the sizes of burgers, how to make them tastier etc. And, If he wants to employ ppl for managing his business, no doubt he will first look out for MBA people.
Sukhdev Toor was an engineer-turned-hotelier in toronto

And as I mentioned, even sportsmen have to undergo training, even during their career.
Yes, aastha education system needs to be changed. Some schools have started imparting practical knowledge also beside theoritical education so that they become self-reliant and literate in all aspects.
Even though there is change in education system that doesn't mean that education is the key factor for success in life. Even though a lot of practical work is included and if it is in the field where the student is not interested then it is of no use. A single school cannot provide practical knowledge in all the available specializations available.
In this matter i am agree with you. Why everyone is saying education is not only the key factor. If it is not then what are the other key factors. These are following:

1. Positive Attitude.
2. Passion towards their field.
3. Self discipline.
4. Education in a particular field in which you wanna success.
5. Never loose confidence. If you fails some time then get up again. You can learn more.

Education is one the important key factor with it can be used as a knowledge here. You need knowledge in that field in which you wanna success. Here knowledge is same as to education which you got regarding that field.
Hi Karthik-Change in educational system has to be gradual, and hopefully will be implemented by many schools.

A simple thing as the ability to read and write is considered as the basis of education.

Citing a slightly different case from that which Lohit has stated, if the person were to ask for loan from the bank, and bankers come to know that he/she is not able to read or write, the bankers will think twice, before giving loan to such a person, unless maybe he/she has a stong influential person as guarantor.
what are you saying dear. You mean a man which is not educated can't get loan easily. So you are wrong because maximum farmers are uneducated they got a lot of loans regarding their farming field. Bank normally see that that client have property or not because for security purpose. If a educated person don't have a fixed salary and property then he can't get loan easily. Bank see their benefit, it doesn't matter client is educated or not. Yes regarding education load which a student wanna, in that matter they can give importance to the education level of that person.

The decisions, the versatility, the eagerness, the determination, the connections, the hard work, creativity, entrepreneurial mind, a little luck plus your overall personality add it to your education, these make the key to success.
Yes aastha these are the key factors which a person need. But mind must be not diverted from the target. After that all in your destiny. If bad time is going on for that person then no can do anything.
