OM SAI RAM

What do I care

if somebody was a Goodman,

or Bad!

Does that alter

my own goodness or evil?

Let us be good

for our own sake

on our own responsibility!

We are responsible

for what we are,

and whatever we wish

ourselves to be.

we have the power

to make ourselves

If what we are now

has been the result of

our own past actions,

it certainly follows that

whatever we wish to be in future

can be produced

by our present actions;

so we have to know

how to act.

This world

is the great gymnasium

where we come

to make ourselves strong.

All healthy social changes are

the manifestations of

the spiritual forces

working within, and

if these are strong and well adjusted,

society will arrange itself accordingly.

Each individual

has to work out

his own salvation;

there is no other way,

and so also

with nations.

… It is very easy to point out

the defects of institutions,

all being more or less imperfect,

but he is the real benefactor

of humanity

who helps the individual

to overcome his imperfections

under whatever institution

he may live.

The individuals being raised,

the nation and its institutions

are bound to rise.

You have to grow

from inside out.

None can teach you,

none can make you

spiritual. There is no other teacher

but your own soul.

Men in general

lay all the blame of life

on their fellowmen, or,

failing that, on God,

or they conjure up a ghost,

and say it is fate.

Where is fate, and

who is fate?

We reap what we sow.

We are the makers of our own fate.

Say,

‘This misery that I am suffering

is of my own doing, and

that very thing proves that

it will have to be undone

by me alone.’

That which I created,

I can demolish;

that which is created

by someone else,

I shall never be able to destroy

Stand up,

be bold,

be strong.

Take the whole responsibility

on your own shoulders,

and know that

you are the creator

of your own destiny.

All the strength and succour

you want

is within yourselves.

Make your own future.

‘Let the dead past bury its dead.’

The infinite future is before you, and

you must always remember that

each word, thought, and deed

lays up a store for you, and that

as the bad thoughts and bad works

are ready to spring upon you like tigers,

so also there is the inspiring hope

that the good thoughts and good deeds

are ready with the power of

a hundred thousand angels

to defend you always and for ever.

‘Ours not to reason why,

ours but to do and die.’

Be of good cheer and

believe that we are

selected by the Lord

to do great things, and

we will do them.

Is It true that Rich people are happy

No comments on “Is It true that Rich people are happy”

I want to become Rich.

I want to satisfy myself.

Everybody says that  Money can but Bed but cant buy sleep,

Money can buy food but cant but cant fulfill Hunger.

But A poor man never give this type of comment or not also like to listen this type of dialogue.

We Indian have main problem is the big difference between Rich people and Poor people.

There is a big gap between Rich man and Poor man.

This is just because of our Old mentality and Rich people do not let the poor people to become Rich.

They do not want to loose their power so they always try to Earn more and more .

Which Indirectly affect to all poor people because money moves around and finally goes to the Rich man's pocket.

so they are the creator, and utilise of money.

I want to become Rich as soon as possible so I can Help some poor people and I will try my best to make a clean Environment with that money

The Core-Centers of Social Discrimination

The Core-Centers of Social Discrimination

Social discrimination has been one of the worst problems in India since time immemorial. It was there in Indian societies many centuries ago and has been continuing until today. The people in villages are the worst sufferers of social discrimination in the form of castism all along hundreds of generations.

Centuries ago the village heads and the chiefs of small settlements and tribes in different places discovered casts. Today we blamhe higher casts for creating untouchables and discriminating against the lower casts. Nevertheless, this looks absurd theory if you just imagine the days when people were uncivilized and lived the lives of barbarians. How the higher cast did came when there was no civilization, society and humans lived like hordes of animals. In those days there were no casts no societies, no customs and even no definite languages. Everything in the life of humans was under development for turning the wild humans into social animals.

I can imagine the days when the profession of humans was just fighting. Fighting for places to settle, fighting for ownership of female captives and fighting for captive slaves and domesticated animals. Gangs and hoards of friendly people used to capture a place with facilities of water, forest for wood and land for farming. Wars were going on everywhere around. The mighty families declared themselves the rulers those became kings later. These kings used to fight all the time killing other kings and capturing properties and captives of the defeated kings. Humans had not discovered the institution of marriage until then. Everyone except the rulers was a captive and slave.

Village life Resized

Everyone except the rulers was a captive and slave

The rulers, kings, and the chiefs of gangs or the village heads turned these captives and slaves into different casts. Just imagine the days when religion was not discovered and humans were not introduced to the entity of the almighty God, how the slaves and captives might have been treated.

Wars were the catastrophes when helpless humans used to run away from one place to another. They used to migrate from one kingdom to another simply to face the worse consequences than being killed in the war. These migrants were kept under captivity away from the people of the kingdom and were subjected to rigorous investigation for ensuring their genuinely.

Once their genuinely was ensured the migrants were allotted jobs to do and were called by the names of their trade. I believe that this might be the way in which the casts were discovered in the beginning of the human civilization. These people their females and children were branded with the trade they did and the name of the trade became the caste.

The scenario that I visualized in the above paragraphs is the one that might have happened thousands of years back. Yet, the scenario in the Indian villages in interiors of rural and tribal areas is no different than what all is described above. The only difference is that in earlier days the casts were newly discovered whereas in modern days the casts system is practiced in the most inhuman ways.

Today’s village heads have turned into politicians and ruling the rural masses in the guise of democratic setup. They are operating like kings of olden days. The police, army and paramilitary forces have no access to these places and if some policemen happen to be posted there, they also turn to be captives of the village heads.

I would conclude this article with an appeal to the readers and to the government organizations to go to these places and liberate the rural and tribal poor from the shackles of the village heads that are running parallel governments in the far-flung areas.

Reservation for Ladies in Buses

No comments on “Reservation for Ladies in Buses”

The other day when I was standing in an overcrowded bus, I heard one passenger shouting from behind.  He was instructing a few male passengers who were seated in seats meant for ladies.  He was also questioning the conductor as to why the proceedure is not being followed. When the conductor was silent, he started advising the conductor to follow predefined norms set by the establishment.

I can understand the passenger's agony at a system which was  not being followed.  Here I have a point to make.  There are reservations to be made for two more categories of people and one which should be given more priority over reservation of seats for ladies..

1) Reservation for Elderly People:-

Few seats should be reserved for people who are very old, as it would it be very uncomfortable for them to stand in a bus.  These days even for a short distance of 3 kilometres a person has to stand for about half an hour, considering the traffic jams especially in metropolitan cities.  The agony is more for old people on longer journeys.

2) Reservation for Handicapped People:-

Irrespective of age, a specific number of seats should be reserved for handicapped people. As of now, there are seats meant for this category, but they are very few in number as to compared for ladies.

Reservation for elderly people and handicapped people should be givien priority.  Infact more number of seats should be given for this category than for ladies.  This seats should be reserved irrespective of the gender to which these aged or handicapped belong to.  Even a elederly or handicapped person is found standing, then a seated person (normal category) irrespective of the gender should be asked to vacate his or her seat to accomodate the elderly/handicapped person.

I am very sure that this suggestions if implemented will be welcomed by all.

Harassment in Bus Stops

No comments on “Harassment in Bus Stops”

It happens everyday without fail.  Sweepers employed by Bangalore Municipality sweep the bus stop areas between 8 o clock to 10 o clock in the morning.  A whole lot of mud comes out when the roads are swept because of which passengers are inconvenienced and one which is not good for health.  Even if the portion where the passenger stands is to be swept, they just sweep that portion without even requesting or warning the passenger to move away.  This is done very arrogantly day in and day out.

The point to be noted is that 8 to 10 am is the time, when the bus stop is crowded.  This is because office goers, school children and college students time their journey so as to ensure that they reach their respective destinations to time.  One cannot blame the sweepers because they are just performing their duties and infact should be complimented for not neglecting their duties.

As a suggestive measure, the municipality should ask sweepers to sweep the crowded bus stops, before or after peak hours and not during peak hours.  This way neither the crowd is not inconvencied, nor the sweeper.  Not many people crowd bus stops between 11 to 4, and then late night from 9 til early morning 7.  Male sweepers can be asked to sweep even during night, while lady sweepers could be asked to sweep during non peak hours.

The municipality can give instructions on the same lines for picking up garbage.  We appreciate that the municipality is performing their duties in our interest, but public would be better served if this is done without inconveniencing them.

Satish
