THE BATMAN / BRUCE WAYNE

This Batsuit was an improvement on the outfit from Batman Begins (2005), and made Christian Bale more comfortable and agile in his performance. It was constructed from 200 unique pieces of rubber, fibreglass, metallic mesh, and nylon (producing an impression of sophisticated technology), with elastic banding added for tightening the costume to fit Bale. The gauntlets had their razors made retractable and able to be fired. The suit's cowl was based on a motorcycle helmet and separated from the neck piece, allowing Bale to move his head left/right/up/down, and comes equipped with white eye lenses for when Batman turns on Bat-sonar.

Eckhart prepared for his role by studying split personalities.
- Aaron Eckhart enjoyed wearing the Two-Face makeup and warned: "When you look at him, you should get sick to your stomach. This movie is about Meryl Streep's start in the cooking profession which is intertwined with blogger Julie Powell's 2002 challenge to cook all the recipes in Meryl's first book. Its all about cooking.
Not many people know this but i am a real good cook myself. I make excellent blueberry mousse, grilled chicken with mushroom sauce, Two-Cheese pasta salad .. Ok m being narcissistic, anyways my point is i love to cook i love to eat and i liked this film. Meryl Streep and Amy Adams were amazing as usual.
I liked the film. Not sure about how others would feel who are not interested in cooking or eating good food.

Orphan (2009)
Has to be the best thriller of the year after Pelham. It starts off slowly then keeps getting interesting after every scene. The thing i did'nt like was that all the horror movies, be it made in hollywood or bollywood use the same concept of the husband/wife not believing in their partner and its getting too common. And the police in America coming late and also unaware of the action beside them made me think. And then i thought, that its a horror movie and it has to be like this you know. They want us to struggle, lol... MUST WATCH THIS...!!

Låt den rätte komma in or simply Let the Right One In is a 2008 swedish romantic horror film based on the novel of the same name by John Ajvide Lindqvist, who also wrote its screenplay. One of the best films to come out this year & easily the best horror film of the decade, or maybe two decades.
Let the Right One In, is a story about Oskar, a 12 year old boy who is bullied by his classmates but never strikes back, but finds love n revenge through Eli, a peculiar new girl-next-door of Oskar's age who is actually a vampire. Tomas Alfredson excels in giving full justice to the novel. He has given a brilliant, dark, horrifying yet sweet, innocent n a very romantic film to all viewers.
The atmosphere, cinematography, editing, score etc is, without a doubt, fantastic. The film perfectly balances horror, drama n romance. The chemistry between Kåre n Lina (Oskar n Eli in the film, respectively) is right among the best ever. Its the action here rather than the words which shows affection between the two in the most sensitive manner. The ending is great, the technical execution throughout the film is perfect.
Låt den rätte komma in is the best foreign language film I've ever seen till date n the 2nd best film for me this year, after The Dark Knight. Its a sure-shot winner, or atleast a final five nominee in the Best Foreign Language Film category, at the Academy Awards ceremony for this year, atleast for me though I really want it to win the gold.
A simple, sweet, innocent yet dark tale of a young friendship, love n revenge with innocence at its heart ... thts Låt den rätte komma in ... for you. After a very long time, since The Silence of the Lambs, A very intelligently made horror film has come.

THE BREAKFAST CLUB
Now what can i say about the legend of JOHN HUGHES. Every time he wields the megaphone he comes up with something special. If THE BREAKFAST CLUB was the benchmark of teenage movie, this movie takes it further. MOLLY RINGWOOD works wonders again as the lead protagonist who is upset because her parents forget that its her 16th birthday. The movie is very sensitive and tries to look at the soul of a sixteen year old girl. I strongly recommend this to everybody

very subtle narration and a tragic ending.This movie is all about the determination and courage of a group of Libyan Tribals under the shrewd and stunning strategic intelligence of their leader Omar Mukhtar.....who could not be defeated or captured for 20 years by Massolini's vast ,well equiped army...........8/10.

I am so touched by watching the events that occured on September 11, 2001. I can just imagine how the people on the plane must be feeling after being hijacked and knowing that they are going to die. I felt as if im into the movie and when one of the planes hit the World Trade Center, my god, was i left stunned or what. I could actually feel the vibes inside of me. It felt as if i saw it in real. I am not sure about the things which happened inside United Flight 93 were real or just shown for the movie. THIS IS DEFINITELY A MUST WATCH!! This is history and everyone needs to watch it once. 9/10

Its the end of the world movie, so what more of a story could have been made, im not complaining for that, but just telling to keep your expectations low from the story. But, hats off to the effort put in to make this movie a treat to watch. Such a nailbiting and edge of the seat kinda movie, it deserves a big round of applause. My advice, watch this movie just only to see the earth being destroyed. And yea, the volcanic explosion was soo awesome!!
Fuckin Awesome....i loved it....Roland Emmerich did it again......as for me , it is an excellent movie......if u want a great nd intellectual flick , i m not sure this movie will do....but if u want entertainment , u it wil definitely worth a watch,.the first half was gud.. but in the next part story was loosing strength.
it was very clear that director had strong desire to mke movie on Doomsday but he didnt actually knew how to give it a Happy Ending.

A brave move to include supposedly supernatural elements but could have handled better. What could have been a really exciting action movie was totally ruined. Even if it was a mindless shoot-fest, I would have liked it better than what it is now.

well the movie has been rated three stars by the critics n with a starcast like george clooney,brad pitt the movie has been able to produce good box office collections in usa.The story is quite predictable n the characters have not been described well.personally for me to watch the whole movie was a headache.George clooney's character was a big disappointment.brad pitt's character was for a short term n not that important one.It was just for commercial purpose.Its not worth a watch so plz dont make plans to go to a theatre to watch this movie instead sit back n relax at home!!!!

REQUIEM FOR A DREAM (2000).
Requiem for a Dream is a masterpiece which depicts different forms of addiction, leading to characters imprisonment in a dream world of delusion n reckless desperation, which is then overtaken n devastated by reality. It is undoubtedly, the most powerful, shocking n xtremely moving film I've ever seen.
Its a story about 4 people. Harry(Leto), his mother Sara(Ellen), his girlfriend Marion(Jennifer) n his friend(Tyrone). The film is presented in 3 phases: Summer, Fall n Winter showing the progression of the addiction.
Summer is the time when everything is going fine. All dreams looked possible. Fall starts n the characters begin to diminish n die a little. By Winter, the characters are destroyed & devastated completely by their addictions.
Director Darren Aronofsky has done a brave job by taking up this subject. This story deserved to be told on big screen. Its not a movie completely about substance abuse but addiction in a wider sense. Cinematography is completely different from other movies, split-screen is used extensively here along with the close-ups.
The score is a masterpiece, easily among the greatest soundtracks ever. The score n tight editing will haunt you for years to come. The last half hour of the film is among the most harrowing of any film ever made. The ending is, sheer power. The film leaves a huge impression, infact a huge scar which you're proud to wear.
This film is a must for all. I can guarantee tht you'll not be disappointed. Yes, it is depressing, not a happy ending fairy tale but thts what the motive was. Its an eye-opener for those who thinks drugs n all is cool, This film has a serious warning for all. A Must Watch.

This year has been very good for sci-fi movies-with the excellent Star Trek,the brilliant District 9 but Moon surpasses all..the best sci-fi movie of the year by far and probably the decade..not only was it visually spectacular in some of the scenes,the concept was great..it showed how due to lure of money or otherwise how people can resort to means of human exploitation in order to advance their program of lunar colonization..the ending is pretty uplifting unlike 2001:A Space Odyssey,but yet as its counterpart it manages to do really well.
Warning:-Well,not everyone will like it,people who like action movies will find it boring,same with 2001:A Space Odyssey which is a sci-fi classic..this movie is only for genuine movie enthusiasts,sci-fi lovers and those who believe in watching good film making..in short it is for the auteur and not the casual movie watchers..;)
So in short,if you are a cinephile and love watching different kinds of movies and not stick with the stereotypical types which have mainly CGI,special effects and action to boast of,then go for it..
Rating:-9.5/10-Wish I could give it a 10.It was that good.
The film starts off slowly and as the norm with sci-fi movies takes time in building up and once it does,it is a ride-the movie is slow paced just like 2001 and many might find it boring-but its completing the journey that is important just like 2001:A Space Odyssey-I consider this to be the benchmark for sci-fi movies.

The Thing - 1982
The Thing is about a group of scientists in Antarctica confronted by a shape shifter that takes the shape of ppl that it kills, it stars Kurt Russell.
I once read this novel by Stephen King - "IT" which was creepy and the cause of menace even though was only a clown but the atmosphere and the ambiance was horrific, it used to send me chills down my spine. The Thing was similar, its atmosphere is quite scary.
What i liked most was not the menace caused by the shape shifter but the study of human nature when subjected to chaos, it was more terrifying than the shape shifter itself. Ad plz dont say after watching it that it was too dramatic or slow, its complete and utter bullshit, no offence. Highly highly recommended though.

- I tried watching the movie again and yet I found it quite unconvincing. The plot misses the trick I guess by being slow paced and having to deal with so many characters.My fav superhero is Batman not because of Nolan treatment and all but because the character sketch of batman is so human like- a general person with will power and technical wizardry fighting crime can never be unconvincing.
wat to say abt this movie. I saw a 7.4 rating in imdb and went for it.
The intial 30mins was promising but later it began to drag. And also the overall treatment,like the alternate 1985s,the comedian(unsuccessfull attempt for a Joker there) character killing so many people,and too many violnce afffects badly on the feel of the story.
The only thing wher it makes a differrrence is the climax,but even then it lacks the pace and mood of the film.
anways I watched another movie today called the lola rennt or Run Lola Run.
It is very much watchable. The plot is quite simple but shown in 3 different perspectives each with a different ending. An extraordinary treatment of a simple story is the USP of this movie.

He loves She.....But She loves another person which our hero realizes after a long way into the film.....He breaks down......An emotional song.....She realizes that actually she is in love with our hero.....And a stupidest climax in this case/movie...(Jesus Christ !!!)
Ranbir Kapoor rocked with his comic timing.......Songs are good....Even Salman shined in his small appearance.....Kat was not at her best.....
Almost 90% of jokes are taken from various other movies just like what Priyadarsan does......

The Graduate - 1967
(500) Days of Summer compelled me to watch this film. And i am still shocked at how horrifyingly wrong everyone was in this film, this film wasn't even about love, maybe a rebellious and impulsive kind of a love but that's always destructive. Dustin Hoffman's character was so sweet, so infantile and yet he was able to pull of things that even a normal person would think 100 times before doing it, i loved his character and hated him at the same time.
The movies starts with Hoffman coming off college scene(which he isnt interested), where Mrs Robinson(forgot her name) asks for a ride home, and then things start to change from then.
Its a pretty cool movie. comes under the genre of Drama/romance/comedy.
So for all those who are in to this genre can try it once.
Mike Nichols always amaze me with his work Angels in America, Closure, Charlie Wilson's war and now this The Graduate. Amazing film if interpreted correctly.

Starship Troopers (1997), a sci-fi military film. From the director who made films like Total Recall and Basic Instincts, this film is basically a part brainless, part propaganda, part splatter, part etc etc kind of a film which does not require you to use much of your brain. Critics generally gave it positive reviews and since it's only a 2 hour film, you won't mind watching the 23rd century soldiers knocking the shit out of the aliens of some goddamned planet that automatically became smart by "sucking the brains out" of one of the soldiers.

Its a story of a man( Tom Hanks) fired by a conservative law firm due to his condition ( AIDS)
Tom Hanks won an Oscar for his performance so theres no point gloating about how good he was. Other than that i found it to be over the top sometimes, exaggeratively sensationalizing the matter was a bit annoying. It could've been done a bit subtly.
I like Opera, i don't listen to it very often but i like it, so for that matters i loved that scene where Tom Hanks was explaining the opera, it was enacted beautifully.
Average movie with good performances.
