This movie is about Meryl Streep's start in the cooking profession which is intertwined with blogger Julie Powell's 2002 challenge to cook all the recipes in Meryl's first book. Its all about cooking.

Not many people know this but i am a real good cook myself. I make excellent blueberry mousse, grilled chicken with mushroom sauce, Two-Cheese pasta salad .. Ok m being narcissistic, anyways my point is i love to cook i love to eat and i liked this film. Meryl Streep and Amy Adams were amazing as usual.

I liked the film. Not sure about how others would feel who are not interested in cooking or eating good food.

Orphan (2009)

Has to be the best thriller of the year after Pelham. It starts off slowly then keeps getting interesting after every scene. The thing i did'nt like was that all the horror movies, be it made in hollywood or bollywood use the same concept of the husband/wife not believing in their partner and its getting too common. And the police in America coming late and also unaware of the action beside them made me think. And then i thought, that its a horror movie and it has to be like this you know. They want us to struggle, lol... MUST WATCH THIS...!!

Låt den rätte komma in or simply Let the Right One In is a 2008 swedish romantic horror film based on the novel of the same name by John Ajvide Lindqvist, who also wrote its screenplay. One of the best films to come out this year & easily the best horror film of the decade, or maybe two decades.

Let the Right One In, is a story about Oskar, a 12 year old boy who is bullied by his classmates but never strikes back, but finds love n revenge through Eli, a peculiar new girl-next-door of Oskar's age who is actually a vampire. Tomas Alfredson excels in giving full justice to the novel. He has given a brilliant, dark, horrifying yet sweet, innocent n a very romantic film to all viewers.

The atmosphere, cinematography, editing, score etc is, without a doubt, fantastic. The film perfectly balances horror, drama n romance. The chemistry between Kåre n Lina (Oskar n Eli in the film, respectively) is right among the best ever. Its the action here rather than the words which shows affection between the two in the most sensitive manner. The ending is great, the technical execution throughout the film is perfect.

Låt den rätte komma in is the best foreign language film I've ever seen till date n the 2nd best film for me this year, after The Dark Knight. Its a sure-shot winner, or atleast a final five nominee in the Best Foreign Language Film category, at the Academy Awards ceremony for this year, atleast for me though I really want it to win the gold.

A simple, sweet, innocent yet dark tale of a young friendship, love n revenge with innocence at its heart ... thts Låt den rätte komma in ... for you. After a very long time, since The Silence of the Lambs, A very intelligently made horror film has come.

THE BREAKFAST CLUB

Now what can i say about the legend of JOHN HUGHES. Every time he wields the megaphone he comes up with something special. If THE BREAKFAST CLUB was the benchmark of teenage movie, this movie takes it further. MOLLY RINGWOOD works wonders again as the lead protagonist who is upset because her parents forget that its her 16th birthday. The movie is very sensitive and tries to look at the soul of a sixteen year old girl. I strongly recommend this to everybody

rating:8/10...a nice attempt....awesome performance by the child role of Derek done by Malcolm David Kelly......
a role to remmeber....nice expressions...good direction by denzel....and a movie of social awakening...its a auto-biography written by Fisher himself..and very delicately handled.
