Definition Of Sentence:
1.A sentence is a group of words that makes a complete sense.
2.A sentence is a complete thought.
3.A sentence always begins with a Capital letter.
Example:
- Mother cooks for us.
This is a complete thought.

It does not make any sense.
It is not a sentence.

1.Assertive Sentences:
A simple statement can be called an Assertive sentence.
It can be in 2 forms:
(i) Affirmative (or positive) sentences
Affirmative statements are called Affirmative sentences.These are positive statements without Negative meaning.
Example:
1.Babu takes his meals at regular hours.
2.The child is sleeping beside its mother
(ii) Negative sentences
Negative statements are called Negative sentences.The statements in negative form. They give negative meaning.
Examples:
1.Ram does not play with us since he is senior to us in age
2.The child is sleeping beside its mother.
2.Interrogative sentences:
The sentences that are used to ask questions are called Interrogative sentences.
End with a sign - ?
Example:

3.Exclamatory Sentences:
The sentence which express some strong feeling or emotion such as sorrow, joy, surprise, wonder.

- An interjection is a word which expresses a Sudden feeling or Emotion
- Interjections are simply the recording of sound without any relationship to the other words in a sentence grammatically.
