Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • PC
  1. Step 1
    alt

Always run a virus and spyware scan every week. If you notice that your computer slows down and freezes up frequently, there is a possibility it might be infected.

  2. Step 2

Improve pc performance by frequently updating your browser, deleting cookies and history files.

  3. Step 3

Give your hard disk drive special attention. Check for disk errors on your pc and make sure you defragment all your files on a regular basis. A disk defragmenter program is essential and highly recommended to improve pc performance.

  4. Step 4

Clean inside your pc regularly. It's best to avoid excess build up of dust inside and outside your pc, since this can cause great harm and interfere with its performance.

  5. Step 5

It is very important, that you remember to back up your work and save important files to a Cd Rw or DVD. See Instructions on how to back up important files in the resources section.

What's the reason behind reformatting your hard drive and reinstalling windows ocassionally

No comments on “What's the reason behind reformatting your hard drive and reinstalling windows ocassionally”

why people reformat their hard drives and reload their operating system. No right or wrong answers to this question.some people offered advice on when or when not to do it, and others said it's a lazy way out of troubleshooting or a last-ditch effort. The bottom line is that it all depends on you and your particular computer problem and the state of your system. Some folks do it more often than others, some do it because of serious system issues, and some do it because it's just part of their PC maintenance routine.

you shouldn't have to reformat your hard drive if your system is running just fine. Some valid reasons why you should do an overhaul: when you have serious issues like a virus or spyware infection that you can't get rid of; corrupt files in the system; system Registry issues; or when the system has become so sluggish that nothing in your maintenance ability can cure it.

How to do videoconferencing using the Internet?

No comments on “How to do videoconferencing using the Internet?”

Description

It is worth noting that there are some packages that are available for video on the Internet totally free and available to everyone. Others are not free, but the cost of their licenses represents less than the cost that would be a satellite link. Also, getting a small video camera, plus the necessary software and equipment that have sound cards, an investment far less than the gain of antennas, earth stations, communication channels, licensing, etc..

Furthermore, we believe, and indeed this is the thinking of many people, that communications satellites will soon be displaced by other media faster and more efficient, such as microwave and fiber optics because they offer greater speed and bandwidth, more availability, and technologies are easier and simpler to operate and manage.

At this point describes the entire process of video conferencing over the Internet, stating the requirements of hardware and software you need a video, detailing the process and then finally analyze the possible problems that may arise and their solutions.

Software and hardware requirements to achieve efficient video conferencing:

Making a video using the Internet is easy. Anyone can do it. The packages are currently scheduled to present a GUI very user friendly, making them as high-level applications, which keep the process transparent connection.

At most, the last basic and essential that the user must provide the IP address of the other point of connection, and nothing else.

Now, the hardware and software requirements for video are nothing of the other world, on the contrary, constitute and implements programs to any computer that is currently equipped with the exception of the video camera. However in the market there are an infinite number of cameras that can be used for this purpose, and whose cost is not very high, especially when considering that this is an investment that we provide a service that will work long term and that applies punishment.

Below is the basic requirements which must be with any team to make video conferencing.

Hardware

Processor: Must be a minimum Pentium with 8 MB RAM and 10 MB hard disk.

5.2.2 Software

Package for video conferencing over the Internet: In the market, there are many of these applications, most of which need to run the following:

Windows 3.1 or higher.

Winsocks to connect to the Internet using TCP / IP, such as Chameleon or Trumpet.

Video Driver 256 color (8 bits) to any resolution (640 x 480 800 x 600 1024 x 768 or higher).

The central processing unit and its functions

No comments on “The central processing unit and its functions”

CPU itself is the brain of the computer, which in turn is composed of arithmetic unit, logic, and control units. It works on a master clock that coordinates the execution of all operations performed by the microprocessor.

The fundamental unit of work of this watch is the number of instructions the microprocessor can execute in one second. So a 12 Mhz. can make 12 million cycles per second.

The speed and power of execution of tasks is determined entirely by the microprocessor which divided into different types of computers, including some already obsolete as are calls XT 8086, 80286, 80386, 80486 and Pentium (80586), named INTEL by the manufacturer which has provided since the first PC's and even today the majority of plants with their computer models of the brain.

But Intel is not the only manufacturer of microprocessors for personal computers, also compete in the marketplace companies like Cyrix, AMD, Power PC, Digital Equipment, etc. However, while competition in most of these companies offer an equivalent to standard microprocessor serial number provided by Intel Corporation.

The model of a microprocessor shows on all the power or potential of tasks that a microprocessor can execute at a time and watch your shows sync speed with which they are made. Thus, between a computer 286 and a 486 there is a noticeable difference in power and speed unmatched since the first order we can not add u so much as the second and on the other side of 25 between 486 and 486 Mhz to 50 Mhz talking to both have the same power, but the second doubles the speed at first.

Current processors

There are currently too powerful processors as mentioned above. The company Intel has launched its new Intel Pentium 4 2.0GHz

Similarly improved their previous processors such as the Pentium III, which has just launched the Pentium III 1.13 GHz

There are also other Intel processors that serve the company for servers and workstations such as the Intel XEON.

Also the Intel Itanium, which is considered the next generation processor for servers and workstations.

But the company Intel is not the only one that makes processors for PC's there is another company that makes processors and is a major rival of Intel and the company AMD (Advanced Micro Devices) that makes the AMD Athlon processors whose current speed is 1.4 GHz

There are other such as AMD Duron processors with speeds of 1GHz model.

Main Card

Also called Mother Card or Motherboard is where the basic connections for all components of the computer, which revolve around the microprocessor. It basically allows or not the future growth of the abilities of any computer, a card with an architecture very close finish with the life of all equipment at the time it requires a repair or improvement, this was the case with most of the computers that existed in the past, to name a few: Commodore 64, Tandy 1000 and all XT'sy some 286 of IBM.

These can be classified at present:

- 8-bit Architecture: First XT

- 8 -16 bit ISA architecture. Most of the existing clones

MCA or EISA architecture of 32 bits. The majority of IBM compatible or brand that is sold

currently.

Currently there are many types of motherboards here is just one example of many types of motherboards.
