Moderator role in GD
in Suggestion Box
Moderator introduces a topic and then leaves this to members. I suggest that moderator should also submit concluding post with his own views after due considerations of views expressed by members and give his verdict in favor or against. This will make discussion more useful.

    In most of the previous forums, moderators have participated in discussions. Now I hardly see them. Suggestion of Gulshanji is good. May be all are too busy. Work is more and moderators are less.

    I agree with Gulshan ji that equal participation is needed. but i think only two moderators are actively seen other do not participate regularly. I also could nt undestand why the caption contest is not been conducted now-a-days.

    A very good suggestion from Gulshan kumarji. The moderator should also participate in the discussion to make it more meaningful and have more interaction with the members for them to know what the moderators feel about their suggestions.

    In most of the previous forums, moderators have participated in discussions. Now I hardly see them. Suggestion of Gulshanji is good. May be all are too busy. Work is more and moderators are less.


    I do not mean all moderators. I am also a moderator but not on group discussion. Abid is a moderator on GD. He opens the discussion. I think that he should also give his concluding remarks at the end after reading members' posts. The moderator 's role is distinct and not like others. He is also required to intervene whern there is some bitterness owing to difference in views.

    First of all, this is a very good thread initiated and really some good suggestions from the members. Just to add a point,I would also like the moderators to initiate quality threads, answer to those threads in a friendly way and give applaud and appreciation for those posts which adds quality to the thread. Finally, moderators should be punctual and be online in the forum section even for ten to fifteen minutes per day....!

    The best part is that I do find one or two moderators doing their job very well here and they deserve all the credit for doing so...!

    Thanks for this good discussion.As you told I had made my own opinions in many topics that I started and also encouraged the participants.Those which I hadn't intervened will be during my leave period from boddunan.

    Also I am not starting a new GD due to some holidays in front on which I may not be able to intervene.Any how in all future discussions started by me I will post my opinions also.
