How is that your shravan starts now where as Hindu calender says this is Bhadra month that comes after Shravan. Krishna was born on 8th of Bhadra month.

Chingam (shravan) begins on August 17 every year...and we celebrtae Thiruvonam on Thiruvonam star and Krishna Jayanthi on Rohini star

This is a news to me- no this was not a mistake as I read some where else that this is chingam in your area.. As for we are concerned Shravan ended 15 days back for us. Rakshabandhan is the last day of shravan in our area.
