Africa miffed with village :(

Complaints against conditions in the Games Village continued...
These include:
1. Presence of a snake in athletes room.
2. Prowling stray dogs in the area.

African group gave time to the organisers till Monday evening to get their act together.

Thanks 'n' Regards,
Deepti.
Yes all negative responses from players regarding basic amenities in village..
Another athlete, Elena Baltacha from Britain on Sunday, Sep 26 decided to pull out her name from Commonwealth Games 2010 over dengue fear.
Akhil Kumar, the prominent player of Indian boxing team, started his CWG journey with a shock as his bed, at the games village, collapsed as soon as he rested on that.

This is what Akhil told...
"I checked the bed and part of it has no plywood on it. It was very disappointing after enduring a long journey. The athletes are at least entitled a decent place to rest. Even the toilets are not very clean."

Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, who has been overseeing efforts to get things back on track, today said she can't give a time limit to when the complex will be ready. Hitting out at the Delhi Development Authority (DDA), Dikshit said they should have handled the village better.
