The couple shared joint custody of their daughters Shruti and Akshara Hasan, but the gals are known to spend more time with dad Kamal in Chennai as Sarika has been trying to revive her acting career in Mumbai.
Kamal Haasan and Gouthami have been living together, and based on insiders, Kamal has been quite caring towards Gouthami, who is suffering from cancer.
Shruti Haasan apparently also shares a great rapport with Gouthami; in fact, she was seen enjoying the Rolling Stones magazine launch with Gouthami and Kamal in Mumbai earlier this year. Gouthami also accompanies Shruti for her musical concerts and has been traveling with her for shoots. Based on sources close to the family, Shruti considers Gouthami to be her mother-figure.
Sarika was so shocked to learn about the budding relation between Shruti and Gouthami that she decided to severe her ties with Shruti.
