Apparentl, the printed letterhead was not proof read before printing. so this happened. This is the first time that such silly mistake has been noticed.

To err is human. There is only one way to ensure that there are no mistakes of this type. Proof reading is must. What is not checked is not done. You must check everything before you finalize. CBSE had no option but to regret. Only if they take remedial measure like ensuring check and recheck, mistakes cannot be ruled out.

That' what happened. They did not recheck the Spelling. This is an unpardonable mistake especially in the Education department. Such mistakes a wrong precedence to the students,
CBSE is a reputed board and such type mistakes were not expected from it. Now CBSE has realized its mistake.

The funniest part is, the spelling mistake was committed in the letter to the minister herself. Height of carelessness..
The checkers may not be conversant in English language and may have no love for thelanguage.
True. unless one is conversant with English language spelling demons are bound to creep in When I was working in Vizag Steel plant, I worked under an efficient Manager, But he was a drunkard. Once he took to a press where I'm supposed to do proof reading for our House Magazine. He left me in the press and gone out to a nearby Bar. By the time, he returned back, I completed my Proof reading. But he said he wanted to see my proof read copy. I was astonished to see he picked many spelling Mistakes even in that inebriated stage. It goes without saying he has a good command over English.
